Mrs Irene Lomax the proprietor we found extremely welcoming and accommodating. Our room was warm and very comfortable and fully satisfied our needs. The room had an ensuite shower room, the only small criticism being the size of the washbasin. The room was well serviced each day and we had clean towels after the second day of our visit. Breakfast... More

Irene, was so lovely, warm and friendly, made our stay very pleasant. The room was perfectly adequate for our stay, small, but with an ensuite facilities. The room was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was really tasty! Would highly recommend a stay here, for seeing this part of Cornwall. Easy walking distance to the beach, and access to the coastal... More

We picked this place due to its locality to the beach and previous reviews and I must say that we were not disappointed! We were warmly greeted by Irene on arrival and shown to our spotlessly clean and tidy room. After unpacking we headed to the beach and nearby bar. On our return for bed, we found that the bed... We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights . Irene keeps a very clean and friendly house . There is plenty of storage for travellers with excess baggage like us ! The house is compact and each room has a spotless ensuite . Cooked breakfasts arrived with such alacrity and they were delicious . We enjoyed each one of... More

This place is a real gem. Irene is warm and friendly and provides the best breakfast you could hope for. Nothing seems too much trouble for her. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the books, games and DVD's in the room add a nice touch. Great location for both beach and pubs. Extra bonus is being situated... More

Irene gave us a warm welcome when we arrived after a long day's walking on the coast path. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and we had a lovely breakfast the next day. The Unicorn in the village is great for a drink and dinner.

This B&B on the whole was excellent. It may not have the modern look like other places but it's the best B&B there. It is very clean, well maintained and Irene takes pride in running her business as well as taking care for her customers. Irene is very friendly, approachable and a genuine person who is very welcoming. It is... More

Spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. Great location for exploring the Cornwall area. Within walking distance of the beach and 2 pubs, we ate at the one on the beach, food was OK, view of the sunset fabulous. Back th the B&B ... we stayed 3 nights and felt like we were leaving a good friend by the time we drove... More

Warm, friendly, lovely breakfast. Eileen is a terrific host. My room was comfortable yet spotless, the shower modern and also spotless. The place is yards from the sea in the little cove of Porthtowan, wish I'd been able to stay longer.
