The family and I enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days at this hotel. Location is perfect. Parked and never had to get back into our vehicle. The TV did not work but with free internet our kids were happy. I'd suggest bring a pillow. We will be back!!

Based on TA reviews I decided to book Hotel Colonial de Puebla for a solo travel trip and I was not disappointed. I arrived late at night and the hotel staff was still gracious and helpful though it was in the middle of the night. Once the sun came up I was so excited to actually get to see this...

I have been staying at Hotel Colonial for several years and have never had a bad experience. The staff at the front desk as well as the bell staff are outstanding. The restaurant is excellent, even has a fireplace burning real wood in the winter months. The rooms on the first floor (second floor for Gringos) have a balcony and...

I've been staying at this hotel for years. It is in a great location and the rooms are nice and clean. Food is fantastic and surrounding restaurants are also really good. The roof top has a great view of the city and the volcano.

It's as good as the first. The bed is a firm mattress, which I like, the room is clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels, the hot water works, the wifi works, it's very convenient to the Zocalo and on a pedestrian street which cuts down on the street noise. This time my room has a balcony which is lovely to...

For the price, it's hard to beat this hotel for location & amenities. Rooms facing south & east are super, though they can be a tad noisy with the windows open especially on the first floor. Great reservations assistance and helpful staff. Definitely will return!

Returning after a 20-year lapse, I found Colonial as welcoming as I remembered. It's decor reflects Puebla's Spanish Colonial heritage, just steps from downtown's historic sites. Street noise was the primary reason I had not gone back, and I still warn against staying above the traffic. This time I was on the opposite side of the building overlooking the pedestrian-only...

My wife and I have stayed many times at the Hotel Colonial over the past 25 years, and each stay reinforces our opinion that the Colonial is the best value hotel in Mexico. The owners continue to maintain the quality of service and cleanliness that one expects of a hotel that caters to large groups foreign guests who have discovered...

The people! The place! The chilaquiles for breakfast! The Hotel Colonial is superb in all ways. The location is ideal, right in the center of the Centro Historico, just a couple blocks from the Zocalo. The room was huge and so clean you could eat from the floor. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant/bar has a great selection of delicious...

Spend a long weekend at Hotel Colonial during Day of the Dead (Nov. 2015). The historic property is attractive and perfectly located near the zocalo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a well deserved reputation for their classic take on Puebla cuisine. No complaints whatsoever.
