So close to everything, each member of the staff made me feel completely at home and were so flexible with our special requests, so different from staying at some chain hotel. Quickly fell in love with Casona Rosa! Thanks for making my visit special!

Several years ago I found Casona Rosa and have stayed there 4 times since. I have brought friends and recommended it to others. Its homey, comfortable and elegant ...two blocks from the city main square and Cathedral where the restaurants line the porticos and you can dine and watch the color of the city flow past. You are in the...

It was great to have you as our guest again....and all the staff appreciates your positive energy. There are random shouts of "I miss Bryan" from time to time. You brought up a good topic..MEDICAL TOURISM. Morelia does not promote itself as such, but it is a medical school town and with lots of stellar Doctors who have trained at...

La Casona Rosa is a quiet yet colorful oasis in the heart of bustling Morelia. Rose and her staff welcomed us like old friends. The rooms are lovely and full of wonderful local artwork that is handpicked by Rose. She knows all the great places in the area and helped us put together an amazing daytrip to the surrounding artist...

We stayed for three nights during our first trip to Morelia. The central location made exploring the city very easy. Rose has a beautiful house and we very much enjoyed our short stay. We loved the attention to detail through out the house and the use of local art work. But what made my stay particularly memorable was the staff....

Thank you for your review. Our intention is to have our guests fall in love with Morelia and to see and appreciate the many diverse artisans of Michoacan. Glad to hear our mission was accomplished with you. Please do return and see even more of Michoacan next trip...it is impossible to take it all in first time. Mi casa es...

I have struggled with writing this review mainly because I didn't want to upset the owner/operator but!! We booked Casona Rosa mainly because of all the 5 star ratings which was a mistake. A word of advice. When reading reviews start with the worst and go from there. We were picked up in Ajijic by a driver and friend recommended...

I am sorry that your entry to Morelia and Michoacan started with the uncomfortable incident with the van. I asked you about the ride and tour to Morelia when you arrived, and when I found out about about the van I went into immediate action to remedy it...with your approval. Your party elected to use the same driver the next...

This February was my third time staying at Casona Rosa. I feel at home at Casona and in the beautiful city of Morelia. The staff is friendly and helpful. Lupe makes sure the guests are set for their day with a wonderful breakfast of fresh farm eggs, yogurt, local fruits, pan tostada with mermelada, and aqua fresca. Jennifer and Vivi...

Thank you for your review. It is an honor for us to host your group of teachers from Maine, who've come here for 15 years to teach English to Mexicans so they can pass college entry tests. It is now also going into interview skills and job training work. I am so pleased with all the work so many of...

Lack of privacy....could hear other conversations. Breakfast ok but began late. Some guests seem to stay longterm and cook on premises making a good budget stay I assume with choice of your own food. Rooms were clean and friendly welcome. Very awkward access with narrow stairs to carry luggage upstairs. We stayed in the "Frieda Suite",,,,,simply too much stuff...you'd have...

My family & I stayed here just last Monday. It was a wonderful experience. Good food, good friends, & got to meet several new friends. The atmosphere is very warm & inviting. We checked in, went site seeing around Morelia, came back for dinner & a get together of expats. We had to catch our flight home early the next...

This was our first visit to Mexico. Morelia was first of the historical cities we have visited. What a marvellous surprise all around. We could not believe we were still in North America. Casona Rosa is everything the other travellers say. It was a pleasure to meet Jennifer and share her enthusiasm for the country. Vivi was very helpful and...

What a great little oasis in the heart of Morelia. The service was exceptional at Casona Rosa located a few blocks from the cathedral and plaza de armas. My room was quiet, included a sitting room, extremely clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast was pretty much ready when I went by the dining area, and included tropical fruit and eggs any...

Thank you so much for your kind remarks about Casona Rosa and our staff. They truly love what they do...and it shows! Yes, Morelia has changed a lot in the last decade...but still it keeps its old world charm... and creates the mood of one being both ancient and eternal. Come again...do not stay away so long. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guests have said~while staying at Casona Rosa they have the feeling they're in a private hide-out of Frida Kahlo. Casona Rosa is an inn just two blocks from the main street and Morelia's famous pink cathedral. It is a romantic, intimate place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are five suites each with private bathroom, access to a large, fully-equipped kitchen, several sitting areas and a formal dining room. The suites are situated around an outdoor patio area for relaxing. Much attention was paid to decorating each suite with locally made handcrafts. Check out our Facebook page (La Casona Rosa Morelia) for updates on the latest Casona happenings...Enjoy and "Viva la vida!" ... more   less
