Morelia is a lovely colonial city. This hotel is located in the heart of downtown, in front of the main plaza with a gorgeous view of the Cathedral. Both architecture and rooms are from several hundred years ago which lets you experience taking back in time. Food, service and rooms are very good. This is a great hotel centrally located...

We were in town for a long weekend, and wanted a room with view to the downtown, and it was available only here. They have one of the best locations in the downtown. The staff is very kind and always nice. In the room they don't have coffeemaker, we asked for one and they brought it but without cups, we...

I have stayed at this hotel in 2005 and I do not understand the reason why some people complains, as it is a lovely hotel, my room was a luxury, fantastic bed, beautiful linen, the common areas very nice too. The location fantastic. I had a good meal there. México is a place with loud music, if you can't bit...

Excellent location, lots of things to do from early morning to late night. If you want to experience history, this hotel, won't disappoint. The city of Morelia is a treasure trove of well-preserved 17th- and 18th-century buildings. The hotel is located in the historic center, a great location to explore all the museums, cultural spaces, exhibition centers, restaurants, and nightlife....

The hotel is located on the best location in town. It is a classic and good service. The breakfast is regular. My room had the window for inside and I'm not dure regards the other rooms. If you care about noise, check if there will be any event in town because it most probably will be on hotel's front.

I enjoyed my overnight stay here because it was good value for money, not expensive and the building is absolutely beautiful inside. If this was run as a small luxury boutique hotel, it would be breathtaking. The decoration, furniture and paintings are kept in a museum like state. Beautiful. The rooms are decorated in a quaint charming manner fitting to...

Luxurious colonial lobby with live piano daily. Rooms are spacious. I appreciate bathrobes. I love rooms with balconies despite noisy streets. soundproof windows worked well for me. I am not a regular customer because other nearby hotels offer better value - Alameda and Soledad - one less and one more than Virreyes. Don't miss their restaurant! Good food good service.

We have never stayed at this hotel, but have enjoyed drinks and appetizers in their sidewalk restaurant. Terrific Salsa Verde made with Cerrato pepper, and the red salsa is very good, too. We had their sample appetizers for two, which had both sauces, and we enjoyed it very much. Good margaritas, and attentive service. Good spot to watch the street...

At the Hotel Virrey you are going to travel in time back a couple of centuries. First of all you are located right in the most important plaza of Morelia. City that happens to have the most intresting heritage. Rooms are nice and spacious. Most ammenities are there. Probably the highlight was the viewy to the cathedral and breakfast with...

Lovely location but definitely ask for a room that does not face the street or square. Even a room without windows or with a terrible view is preferable to one that opens to the street. The noise from a local restaurant is rage-level high volume until 10:30 M-Th and all night on weekends. The older, stately woman at reception was...
