Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well what can I say about our 8th or 9th time staying at this wonderful resort, still as we remember it from the very first time.Just a relaxing and stress free place to stay and unwind with a walk along the beach. Rooms are nice we stay in number 36 on the top floor, some new furniture since last time all looking good. Self catering with a restaurant on site again, wich we didn't use, maybe next time. Leanne and Damian are great ambassadors for the island and it's great how they remember returning guests. We didn't need anything from them but i'm sure they would go out of their way to help. We will be back again soon for another relaxing few days with you :)

this was our fourth year of staying at Nth Stradbroke and third time at anchorage I would not stay anywhere else on the island we had an issue with our car prior to leaving our home to catch the ferry I sent a message to Leanne asking if we could change the ferry time this was done within minutes no fuss - love dealing with Damian and Leanne feels like visiting old friends each time we go to anchorage - we had a one bedroom unit this year and had a very relaxing time thank you again anchorage as you know we will see you again next october and may even be coming over for the weekend in April. huge plus was the now onsite restaurant which I have reviewed for the dinner we had on the friday night we also had lunch and breakfast and all times fantastic food great service

Staff are very friendly and helpful with any information we needed about the Island. Room was clean, self catering. Beautiful gardens, pool and BBQ area with toddler bikes and games available. Short walk to beach, some cafes and eateries.

We are from Colombia and we have been in Stradbroke Island in our first wedding anniversary, we enjoyed the island and we could see a beautiful baby Koala. The tourist guide was very nice with us. We hope come back.

Loved the fact that when we checked in we got a good idea of what to do around the island. This helped alot. Very informative. Excellent hosts. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy with everything you need. Best thing was the walkway to the awesome beach.

The Anchorage comprises clean and comfortable self-catering units connected by a short boardwalk to beautiful Home Beach. Nice pool with BBQ facilities in very pleasant garden setting. Friendly staff (Damien). The 3-day winter special includes a return vehicle ferry charge (worth $150) and a $50 restaurant voucher, making this a really good deal.

My husband, son and I stayed here recently for a long weekend escape. The Anchorage Resort on the beach at Point Lookout provided us with very clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation and when we didn't want to be on the beach we had the resort pool to utilise. It was a lovely walk up the beach to the very gentle Cylinder Beach and the Point Lookout Hotel for a meal. Accessing Wifi was a little difficult but apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay here and will return.

Very nice place to stay and a great location. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The spot itself is a walk straight out the front onto home beach which is always nice and a great place to start your morning or afternoon walk. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely beautiful here. Can hear the beach from our room and just a short stroll from the hotel to the beach through a really neat little walk way. Feels like you're in paradise. Yes it's a little old but it's super clean and just perfect. Will be coming back for sure. Also the owners are very friendly and helpful when we ask for recommendations :)
