After a couple of less than appealing stays in Airbnb flats, this place was a godsend. We stayed in the cottage unit, very well supplied and decorated. Service was exceptional, Ruben and Meri went out of their way to accommodate us. They picked us up at the bus stop, gave us late check-out, and drove us into town. Motel had...

We stayed here by chance only as it was Art Deco Festival in Napier that week and rooms in the Hawk's bay area were as scarce as hens teeth. I know now that we couldn't have picked a better place anyway. We were greeted by Reuben and right away I could tell he was good people. Our room was the...

The host of this place, Reuben, was super friendly and helpful. He was very laid back and nothing was any trouble. The unit was basic - what you'd expect for the price. It was very clean. It was warm and cosy - great heater!

The Wairoa Motel was the best experience we have ever had with a motel. Ruben is a great guy and good for a laugh. Very Friendly and makes you feel so welcome. The units are clean and excellent. No traffic noise. The swimming pool was a welcome site after our long motorcycle ride. A nice easy walk to town too....

While you can see that the previous owner had let this gem down, the new owner is going all out to make this gem sparkle again The rooms are very clean as well as being fully equipped but most importantly the staff are total stars

The room was clean and everything that you needed was there. (pots, dishes etc) Wi-Fi was sketchy. Didn't work all the time . When it did, it was fine. A few problems that were fixed right away. Quiet place to travel from.

Thank you for your review, and for your feedback. We have since moved our WiFi "booster" and this appears to have solved the problem with patchy WiFi. Your feedback helps us to make everybody's experience at Wairoa Motel more enjoyable... it is in-valuable, and very much appreciated, thank-you! Reuben.
