I booked the hotel through Hotwire as a stop over between a hotel in a very remote location and the airport out of Cabo San Lucas. I had to modify the reservation through Hotwire several days prior to arriving here, and when I arrived at the hotel, they did not honor the reservation (nor did Hotwire, despite the fact that I adhered to their booking modification policies). The hotel then charged me full price for the one night that I needed prior to an early flight in the morning. The televisions in the room were set on loud volume to their promotional condo sales videos and could not be turned off until Maintenance was called to service the room. Room service for a simple margarita was unavailable by the phones in the room until I called them on my cell phone, and it took another maintenance person poking about the room for over an hour to address the problem with the phones. When room service did arrive, they came with the wrong order. There has been no redress or apology by the hotel for any of the inconvenience. Zero stars.

After a few hiccups with rooms, the staff, especially Martin, addressed and corrected our issues. Martin went out of his way to check on us daily and ensure our entire party was doing ok. The staff here are all super friendly and genuinely care about the people who chose to come stay at this resort. The pool staff, management, etc. - all AMAZING and the reason we will be back again. The location is amazing and the views are beautiful! Thanks Casa Dorado for taking care of my family and for an amazing vacation!

We stayed for 8 nights in the 1 bedroom suite. Everything was quick and easy. No hassles or waiting around. Staff was really nice and helpful. Location was the best, everything was easy to get to. We have stayed at 6 other resorts and this will be our go to for sure. Thanks to the entire staff at Casa Dorada!

We have been coming twice a year for the last 10 years and the beach service never gets any better. Instead of waiting on the paying customers at the resort the wait staff is being directed to dedicate and cater their time to the “day pass” guests and the “tented area” with overly rude guests who think they are above and beyond other people. We sat in the front row for 4.5 hours today and not one server came and asked us if we wanted any drinks or food. Luis, the lifeguard is amazing and so friendly but can’t help the wait staff.

March 2021 trip Quick getaway before they open the flood 100% capacity. This was our first time at this resort and in the past have stayed at villa del arco, villa la estancia, hacienda Del Mar (formally Sheraton) and both roses (white and blue). Upon our arrival the setting was breath taking and the service with bags was spot on with no hiccups. Checkin was a breeze along with the check out. During our stay we indulged in a lot of pool time and drinks and one breakfast(I circle back on that one breakfast) . The pool was outdated and rough but had ample seating for all. Water temp was good and somewhat clear to dirty. There was a lot, and I say again, a lot of missing tiles and broken concrete throughout. The hot tub was lukewarm. Play structure: yes they have a play structure but it looks like it’s from the 80’s. I appreciate the gesture but it lacked and the kids blew through that distraction. Breakfast was laughable. Fruit, bowl of rice, oatmeal, cereal or a omelet. I say this because we were not offered a menus and told at check-in that the Buffett was the only option. Too second the confusion our waiter had to flagged down because he was paying too much attention to the opposite sex customer. After receiving our food the omelette was mediocre and Chiliqulles weren’t worth writing home about Location: 5 out of 5 for convenience but our room 103 was not. We were ground level and it was private but the mango deck was happening until the earl morning hours. Nothing like waking up humming a tune to a song you heard while sleeping. Room: Room was clean and the turn down service was early and efficient. They did not provide any complementary bottles of water but tv’s were brand new with ample shows to wind down with at night. Bathroom: So the bathroom was old outdated and had poor tile craftsmanship. The pressure was lack luster and shower curtain was annoying. The shower was accompanied with a huge deep tub (no jets). The bathroom had (1) oversized vanity that took up the majority of the room. So in short this was a (1) person at a time bathroom. In nutshell the room and furniture seemed new and the bed was stiff. It definitely showed its age and multiple layers of paint. Location and convenience: Casa dorado is the closest location to down town and still On the Medona beach. We frequented the office for breakfast and ate at the surrounding restaurants. Food was great! Outside the resort. Also lunch was mediocre at the pool along with the the watered down drinks(stick to beer or pay for premium). In closing the staff and attentiveness of the staff at the pool was amazing. Some of the best I’ve experienced in Cabo. But because of the outdated room and pool facilities that are in dire need of repair we will not be retuning. Sincerely Cabo enthusiasts
