Great location, beautiful shady sites, toilet amenities clean. Bill the manager could not have been more helpful as our water hose was too short and he gave us an extension one. He and his wife interacted with everyone and couldn't be more interested in everyone's journeys. Have stayed 3 times and have booked 7 sites for September with the family.

Made a fairly last minute decision to take a weekend getaway to Molloy Hideaway Holiday Park and what a great idea that was! Right on the banks of the river, snagged a large powered site and settled in for 2 nights r&r. Easy access to put the kayak in for a cracking morning's paddle on the river, lots of friendly wildlife, facilities are clean and tidy and friendly folks working there. Extremely happy, thoroughly recommend it and will come again!

Booked for a night for the powered campsite. Extend additional night as fall in love with the place. stayed with my wife and 2 kids. it was fun playing and feeding the kangaroos, ducks and birds. Very peaceful and away from everything. there is a lake right in front where you can go fishing or boating. Augusta beach is about 20 minutes away and Margaret River about 35 mins. The owner and staff there are very friendly and helpful. thank you very much. our family enjoyed it. While driving in to the resort, be very careful..u probably catch kangaroos jumping around even crossing the roads.

I wanted to stay at this holiday park for quite some time, but when I finally got a chance, I was pretty disappointed. This was during the high season at the beginning of January. The only site I was offered was a powered site (PS12), although I only needed a small site for a tent. When I checked in, I realised how bad the site was – it was on a slope, squeezed between a thoroughfare road and an ablution block that had the lights on throughout the night and people walking past from early morning (5 am fishing adventurists) until late night (midnight drinkers). There was also lots of duck and roo poo so I had some cleanup to do before I could lay down the tarp for the tent. Ah, that power? Well, my 25-metre extension cord could not reach the nearest power point. In fact, before I even pitched a tent, I started thinking about leaving and going elsewhere, but it was already late, so I stayed for the night. Needless to say, even though I had a booking for two nights, I left before the reception opened and checked back into a forest camping ground nearby for more peace.

Response from Susan Despotovska, General Manager at Molloy Hideaway Holiday Park
Responded 28 Mar 2023
Hi Immotus, Really sorry to hear that your experience at Molloy was not to your liking and we hope you found peace in the forest. The beginning of January is our busiest period of the year and as you would have been advised when making the booking this site was the only site available at the time. Knowing that we had a full park and that this was the only site available I am sure you would have understood that we were very very busy at the time. Our park thrives on families and children and people from all walks of life joining in and having fun. With fun and laughter and general holiday enjoyment there does come noise and distruption and a certain degree of chaos and this is accepted by our families who return to us year in year out. January is all about children as its the school summer holidays so we pride ourselves on giving these children and families many happy memories year after year. Our roos and our ducks are very much a part of this park and yes they do leave their poo on the ground too - we endeavour to keep this under control however most people are pretty aware that this comes hand in hand with the Molloy experience and the delight the kids and families get from feeding them and having them around by far exceeds any inconvenience of their droppings being on the grass. So we do regret that you felt this park was not for you and we hope you will be more aware of what staying in a caravan park in January really entails for your future holiday endeavours.

The location is gorgeous. The facilities were great. The people were lovely. But !!!! The powered caravan sites are just dirt . Dusty dirt. It got windy and dust and dirt flying everywhere. There are remnants of ancient grass but it needs a whole lot of love. I understand it’s difficult to keep grass with such heavy traffic but just to keep the grass growing between sites would be something.

This Is a great park in a great location on the banks of the beautiful Blackwood River. Its clean, tidy & run by very friendly management. The caravan sites are very large so you are not hearing to people next door snoring. The added bonus is the extremely friendly locals; roos , parrots, kookaburras, magpies & ducks. Highly recommended If you are coming south.

We have been visiting this Park for the last 20+ years. The Park itself is well located on the banks of the Blackwood River thus making for a scenic stay & convenient for river activities. We were disappointed this year to find that the sites were just brown dirt with little or no grass - some years ago all sites were grassed as the previous owner/managers continually used sprinklers on them. This year we found that the managers' accommodation had been moved to a far corner of the property. This is unfortunate as during one weekend drunken young louts continued their screeching & yelling until after midnight & then only stopped when our neighbour had made a second call to the manager. The previous managers' accommodation was on site & thus within hearing distance of the holiday makers. One suggestion is that as repairs are being made to individual sites that they be covered with fine blue metal to replace the wind blown brown dirt this would be another alternative to grass. Despite the above problems the new owners have made some improvements to the park & this combined with its natural beauty have resulted in us giving 4 out of 5 stars.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the June long weekend. We were meant to stay 4 but due to bad weather coming the next day we decided to come home early. What a beautiful find this was. We had a huge powered site. Our kids loved this bush camp. The new care takers Sue and Bill were just lovely. There was a train ride for the kids in the morning and afternoon. The resident kangaroos were wonderful for the kids. The kangaroos are all hand feed and very friendly. Shower block was clean. Highly rate this park .
