Friendly hard working family ownership, clean comfortable room with great view. Host recommended pre booking the 'North Harbour Bistro' - great advice - the little place is packed out most nights - If you go you will find out why!

Hirta House is comfortable, with a friendly and helpful host, and a particularly good breakfast. Margaret was helpful in recommending places to eat in the evening, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Breakfast was plentiful and great...

Couldn't have asked for a better B&B, very clean, tastefully decorated, good beds, excellent breakfast, great views and Margaret and Kenny are the perfect hosts. We had the downstairs room opposite Margaret's gorgeous library. What a beautiful room to enjoy at the end of the day....

I travelled with some friends to Lewis and Harris for the first time, and it certainly won't be the last. We stayed at Hirta House and would recommend it as a place to explore from. We found the south part of the island to be the most beautiful, and HH was a brilliant place to stay. It's a lovely house,...
