Casa Quetzal was Casa Encantada for us! We enjoyed three nights and four days in this lovely and well cared for hotel. The owner and staff were exceptionally welcoming and tended to every request and question with great attention to detail in the most efficient and pleasant manner. The location close to the square, restaurants, and shopping just added another...

I was part of the wedding party that stayed there in April. From the highly recommended breakfast on our private terrace to the nicely appointed rooms, we enjoyed ourselves. The staff was great and helped in every way possible. My only concern would be that the coziness of the hotel would not be as charming if you had to share...

We really appreciate hearing from guests who have so enjoyed our hotel and this group of people was really special and fun. I do, however, want to address the question of the "coziness" aspect and concern about it if the hotel were not being used by only one group. What we have found is that, because almost half of the...

This is a charming place in a great location in San Miguel. Even though it's in the heart of the neighborhood with all of the galleries and shops, the rooms are very quiet and set back from the street quite a ways. In addition to luscious beds, beautiful art all around and plenty of amenities, there is a wonderful, shady...

My wedding was in San Miguel in March 2007, and we booked all of Casa Quetzal for our wedding party to stay. My mother and I stayed there the week prior to the wedding and I can honestly say that owner Cynthia and her staff kept me sane and gave us the best accommodations we could ever imagine. I have...

We researched B&Bs and other accomodations before holding our breath and crossing our fingers and booking Casa Quetzal. We were so happy with it. When we arrived we were not greeted. However, when the host realized that we had a reservation they jumped to help. We were shown our small yet perfectly adequate, cute room. The bedroom was separated from...

We just returned from a month of travels throughout Central and Southern Mexico. Casa Quetzal was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed for 5 nights in the 2 bedroom Karma Suite (3 adults in our group), which suited our needs perfectly. The suite was spacious, bright, charming, immaculate, luxurious and, most importantly, very comfortable and quiet....

Having always relied on Trip Advisor, I looked forward to our stay at the Casa Quetzal based on the reviews. We had just spend three glorious days being spoiled at the Casa Estrella in Guanajuato and expected similiar surroundings- Mexican art, flowers, tasteful furnishings and an appealing traditional breakfast. We arrived to find our room (the Frieda “suite”) had been...

Sometimes you know the minute a guest arrives that you are not going to be able to please them. The guests that wrote this review were such clients. We WERE full when they arrived and unable to change their room, tho I admit that we failed in communicating the following day that another room was available. I should have written...

We just returned from a stay at Casa Quetzal in San Miguel. The service was excellent and our hosts were very friendly, but the suite we stayed in, the ZULU suite, was dark and not nearly as impressive as the photos on the web site. To be fair, we may just have been unlucky in the suite we chose –...

We have returned to Casa Quetzal twice since our first stay in March 2005 and we will continue returning. Our first visit was just our immediate family (2 adults and 2 teenagers -- expats from Mexico City) and we have returned twice with extended family from the US to share the beautiful experience of San Miguel de Allende and Casa...
