A country pub with a few rooms available for travelers. Also has a small caravan park. Meals served Monday to Saturday. Good cold beer in the front bar generally shared with locals. Great place for a stop on the way to Birdsville.

Stayed out the back of the pub in my swag. Margaret and Bruce run the pub. I love the older generation for their lack of filters when talking about every day life. And you get that with Bruce. Margaret cooked me the Barra with chips and gravy while Bruce made sure my beers kept coming. I was the only one staying here this night so had the neat and tidy shower and toilet to myself.
While I could have stayed in bigger towns with mod-cons, I chose this place. For $15 I had shade, clean facilities and ice cold beer.
The only downside was the pool was not in a sate to swim in to cool off.
