Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a lovely small hotel in a wonderful setting. We had a room with a terrace overlooking the marina and, with no traffic allowed, it was most restful and matched our expectations. Bocca di Magra is a laid-back and quiet village, marina and beach at the end of the local road. It has a few lovely restaurants and the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from the small beach, beyond the marina. Car parking is free (avoid the yellow parking spots - they're for locals) in the public car park just behind the hotel. All in all a wonderful spot that we would widely advocate and would have no hesitation in revisiting.

I absolutely love this place. It’s a beautiful building (I guess from the 1940 or so). 4 minutes walking from the beach, in a very central location of Bocca di Magra. It’s under Monte Marcello, while on the other side you can look at the Alpi Apuane and the river Magra. The small swimming pool has lots of character and it’s so comfortable and refreshing. There are plenty of wonderful attractions to visit nearby. Don’t forget the Roman ancient ruins of Luni and the winery. If you are driving, there is a free parking behind the path, again 3 minutes walking. There is no lift, this needs consideration. Rooms are all different from each other and different sizes, so, make sure that you ask for what you really want. I will surely go back.

Very cozy little hotel and great spot near the most beautiful places in that area. Rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. We liked it very much and will definitely come back. It does have this something special and we enjoyed the very relaxing atmosphere.

It was a bitter sweet experience. The location is good, with great views. We were hosted by a really kind lady. Breakfast was good. The bedroom window faced the beach, but it was a little small as well as it was the bathroom. The worst thing were the stairs up to the bedrooms. We were on the second floor and there was no elevator. Pretty bad. Tiring and dangerous

Stayed here for a weekend. Lovely family run hotel opposite the small yacht marina. Wonderful to wake up watching the yachts in the little port. A lovely place to stay for visiting yachtees or those wanting to get away from the noisy areas out of season. It has a lovely little garden and pool. The cleaning staff clean to perfection. Breakfast on the terrace facing the little yachts port is ideal.

A friend advised us of Hotel Sette Archi and we are so glad they did ! Maria Ida is a stylish and gracious host and this is reflected by all the staff at the hotel. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river ; so nice to wake up to in the morning. Bocca di Magra is a lovely seaside village . We swam at the local beach just a short stroll away. The hotel restaurant is very good.; we had 3 dinners in 4 nights ! Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Very good value for money as well. . Murray Smith

We stayed here for nine nights June-July 2018 in a double room with a large terass overlooking the back and with a not small view also over the sea. Warmly welcomed were we and out two dogs by hostess Maria. Clean hotel, nice pool in the garden, near to beach (both pay-beach and free beach). Breakfast OK, with variety of bread, cakes and cereals. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, but I especially would like to mention chef servant Francesco, who became a good friend two our dogs. Also Chef Alberto, Maria's husband, who is an outstanding cook.

We spent 4 delightful days in Bocca di Magra at the family run Hotel Sette Archi. This small seaside hotel fits perfectly into its environment - a family oriented seaside holiday destination. The rooms are not big but perfectly adequate and spotlessly clean; most have views of the marina, the river and out to the gulf. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff. The hotel restaurant specializes in local fish dishes and the Friday night fish barbecue is not to be missed. Bocca di Magra is well located for the tourist on a driving holiday being within easy reach of Pisa, Carrara and its marble quarries, Lerici and Portovenere.

Hotel Sette Archi is located in Bocca di Magra, a beautiful and picturesque hamlet of Ameglia. It is in front of the harbour, very close to the beach. Right next to the hotel there are the ruins of a Roman villa. In this place you have the feeling of being in a world apart, far from the madding crowd. Particularly this hotel has an inviting swimming pool, but its plus is certainly the cooking. You can eat excellent first courses and seafood. The staff is very kind and smart.
