One of the worst hotel management ever. The took booking during all these COVID restrictions. So when I informed them I would not be able to travel because of the restrictions their son Jazz promised me that I would get a full refund. I thought it was quite normal as I had three other hotels booked in the same trip and all of them gave me the booking money back but clouds refund never came through. And So I called twice to Jazz (person who handles the account and booking for this hotel) every time he promised me that he would pay for refund right away but it never reached my bank account. Date of booking: 10/11/2020
Firstly I should say that it took us a while to work out that the same people own several of the accommodation properties in Beechmont, which is a very small place - Clouds on Beechmont, Clouds Serenity, Clouds Silver Lining and Old St John's Church. There may be more, I'm not sure. So our comments are purely based on staying at Clouds on Beechment. In the advertising pictures this is the cabin with timber interior walls. Having read other reviews that say they were greeted on arrival and given helpful information, I don't know what happened in our case. Our cabin was immediately adjacent to the owner's house and we were met by one of the family, who was busy building something in their back yard and advised the cabin was ready for us and that anything in the fridge was for us to eat, which was very nice. There was pasta to be cooked but nothing to put on it so we went back to their yard to ask if we could buy a tin of tomatoes or something else to put on the pasta from them but the fellow said his mum would bring us some pasta sauce in a litle while and sorry he had forgotten to tell us. As it turned out, the pasta sauce was really delicious. That lady knows how to make a good pasta sauce! We very much appreciated it along with the cheese and crackers. However there was no bottle of wine, as others have all said, so maybe the owners were a little distracted that day. We never saw the mum but the dad did come out as we were leaving the next morning and asked if we had a nice time. I'm just going into this much detail because our experience wasn't as warm and friendly as others have said. On our arrival we didn't know what was going on at first. With regard to the accommodation itself, it was rustic, very dated (but others might like that so I'm not criticising, just making an observation), the decor from a mixture of eras from 30's to the 70's, and the feeling was like being in an old aunty's house, comfortable but a little depressing. The view stretching forever was wonderful though. The surface cleaning was good and all guests needs catered for but some surfaces were shabby and in need of repainting or refurbishing. The bathroom was extremely dated and hotch-potch. Our advice is to be very sure of which property you are booking when you look at the pictures online. The pictures seem to be a bit mixed in together and it's hard to work out which pics relate to which property. The nightly tariff is probably a good indicator of the standard.…
We stayed in Cloud Safari for the second time this September and it was just as magical as the first time we came last year. Every little detail has been beautifully and thoughtfully planned to create a luxurious and peaceful oasis on the mountain top. The bed was so comfortable, everything was immaculately clean and the amazing home made pasta made by Wilson’s wife for dinner was absolutely delicious. Wilson and His wife are so welcoming. So lovely and so wonderfully great at hospitality. I’ve travelled a lot internationally and stayed at many air bnb around the world and this is by far the best experience I’ve ever had.
Wonderful hosts greet you in the driveway and take the time to tell you about the local attractions. So nice to arrive to a home cooked dinner and a complimentary bottle of wine. Pets are welcome. The scenery and wildlife are spectacular, the spa and sauna a welcome addition. Everything you could think of was there. The hosts ensured we had complete privacy, ensured we had wood for a bonfire and provided a bunch of flowers on departure from the garden. If you haven’t been you are missing out on something very special. Tourists parking on the side of the roads close by are proof this place has the wow factor.
Let's start with the good.... the pasta sauce, cheese and wine were a really special touch added on arrival. The lady (I'm so sorry I forgot her name) on arrival was lovely and helped us carry our things to our Clouds on Serenity tent. Clouds serenity has great quirk, a great view and is equipped with funky decor. The bath tub is situated in the perfect spot, providing great views while you sit back and relax. Also, the fresh flowers left on our car upon checkout was another, warm and kind gesture which we appreciated. However, this place needs some serious TLC. I was quite surprised as I believe clouds on serenity is only a few years old? However, it seemed very rundown. The steps, stepping down to the tent were covered with weeds, the decking was filthy, the bathroom sink and bath tub was dirty, the bathroom door and toilet door had dirty finger prints all over them and the mirror was also not clean. The place in general seemed as though it needed a good thorough clean. Seriously if someone spent a good day cleaning it all up, it would have been incredible. We also had issues with our bathtub plug on the first night and we had dramas getting in touch with the owners, late the next day one of the owners turned up to fix the plug - I thought it was a little odd that we didn't get a phone call back though. But we were very grateful to have it rectified. Just don't expect luxury during your stay and embrace the nature while you're there. …
