Having no desire to stay in a big city, I was looking for a place away from Cape Town and an easy drive to Simon's Town. I stumbled across The Cob House online and it sounded like a great place to stay since we are trying to live more organically and eco-friendly. Love that the owners, Simric and Carey, have... More

I booked a trip to the Cape Town area rather last minute and reserved a room in the city centre for the majority of my trip and decided to stay in Muizenberg to get out from the city for a couple days. After visiting Samhitakasha Cob House, I wish I reversed the length of my stay between city centre and... More

We had an excellent time, staying at Simric and Carey's Cob House. The green concept is a great example to how other b&b's should be. The room was nice and cozy, all furniture is made from massive wood. Together with the claywalls this gives a very warm colour to the hole room. The breakfast were quite standard, the owners are... I never write reviews, but this guesthouse deserves one. We had an excellent time, staying at Simric and Carey's Cob House. The green concept is a great example to how other b&b's should be. The room was nice and cozy, the breakfast delicious, the owners are very sympathetic and helpfull. We felt very much at home!

I stayed at Simric & Carey 's place for 5 days and straight away from the beginning I felt like home!:) It is probably mostly down to the fact that it is not usual house / room, what makes it incredibly interesting and you just literally don't want go and explore the city / going to beach just stay there:)... I loved the location of this house in the very relaxed and progressist area of Muizenberg. The service is satisfactory and the owners are very sweet. I had much more expectations on the breakfast which is used to be quite experimental in such "organic or ecological" guesthouses but not here. It was just basic and simple without interesting surprises. The... More

If you want somewhere different to the normal B&B / hotel this is a great place to stay. Well situated for exploring the small town of Muizenberg, local beach, mountain and lake. Easy to use the railway to get down to Simonstown for the penguins and other settlements. Clean, comfortable, quirky, with discrete, helpful and friendly hosts, highly recommended! Access... More

For those headed to Muizenburg for work or play, I highly recommend Samhitakasha Cob house as a comfortable place to stay. It's close to the beach, cafes, the train line and hikes into Table Mountain bushland. The room is well suited, cozy and very clean, the shower is great (which seems to be a rarity these days), and the morning... More

I stayed here with my wife and son around Easter 2013. The house and its story are fantastic, and the owners friendly and helpful. The location is excellent for anything to the south of Cape Town, e.g. the Cape peninsula, and convenient for the airport too. It's a bit of a distance into the city itself, which might be offputting... More
