I've been to Tulum at least five times in the last year or two and I must say that this is an ideal place to stay for someone who wants the best of all worlds. Good location, great price, delicious breakfast on the roof each morning (included), strong wifi, cold AC and of course there's the owner Tom. He clearly...

After two nights surrounded by desperate middle aged American women talking about banana republic receipts at 6 am, we check in Posada del sol. Small, intimate, authentic mexican but ooohhhh what a beautiful original room. Super hot water. Discreet staff. Amaaaaazing breakfast ( if you like down to earth local food) it was such an easy place. We could have...

We could not have been more delighted with this basic but lovely inn. Pasado del Sol is perfectly in tune with the natural rhythms of Tulum. With unique but tasteful local style, such as painted stucco walls, integrated driftwood accents, handmade furniture, and open air shutters, we really felt we were experiencing Tulum the way the locals have for years...

I traveled to Tulum with a friend this past week and we enjoyed most everything about La Posada del Sol. The service, the breakfasts, the location, and the people all were fabulous. We liked both rooms we got to experience during our recent four-night stay. The first was above the carport so near street-sounds which isn't a problem unless you...

We stayed here for 10 nights in the Sol room. I loved this room! There was a huge king size bed, private balcony, and the room was large and clean. We really loved our stay there and can't wait to go back. The staff was wonderful - very nice and accommodating from start to finish. A few things you need...

This hotel is eco friendly because they are very cheap with everything. Only one power outlet per room, minimal staff, minimal lighting and not even a fridge. The front desk at night is lazy and not helpful. She wouldn't even give me a cup of hot water for my medicine and I pay 350 a night. This place is pretentious...

The room was very comfortable and quaint, exactly as described with beautiful art hanging throughout. Only minus was one outlet in the room we would recommend doing what we did by using an adapter with multiple outlets or USB connections. There was no AC in the room which made it a little uncomfortable at times, but just more reason to...

We stayed in the ''Titanic Room'' which is the blue room beachfront with a private terrasse. Don't get me wrong the room itself is gorgeous, with a king bed, the sound of the sea, cute decor and a perfect view. BUT We were aware that there was no A/C, we chose a beachfront room for the view and we thought...

I had been doing a few weeks of traveling and decided to stay in Tulum for a few days of full relaxation before returning home. I chose this hotel because I thought the pictures online were so interesting. The pictures are definitely true to what I saw personally! The hotel is wonderfully decorated and painted to reflect the culture and...
