My husband and I stayed in Esmerelda for 10 blissful days. The location is on a great stretch of beach with restaurants, drinks and amenities in walking distance but isolated enough that you can relax. Yes, you need to make peace without the conveniences of a typical hotel but this is easy when you are enjoying the beauty of this...

Posada La Mar’s strength is its location on a gorgeous white sand beach, but they do have a ways to go to upkeep the property. Our ocean front cabana Zafiro was beautiful with lovely views down the beach. However there is no soap, shampoo or conditioner in the shower. Towels are plentiful! The rooms are cleaned after lunch only. Breakfast...

I stayed in bungalow Marfil for 3 nights. For those of you who ever stayed on a kibbutz, or went to summer camp, this is Tulum's equivalent. Not the Ritz, not for people who like to stay at the Ritz. The linens and floors were clean. The shower is in an open space with a toilet, and if you wear...

My husband and I stayed in Marfil for 4 nights and enjoyed the wonderful beachfront views, breezes, yummy breakfasts, and super nice staff. The staff do a great job of maintaining the beach, paths, and flora. It is convenient to the beach road attractions, beach bars, as well as a short ride into town. Comfy bed and an open concept...

Please be careful when you book Posada because the rate is too high vs quality! There are better posadas in the area for same price. We have paid 150usd / night for 6 nights When we arrived we found that this Posada is really bad! Electricity is only available from 7pm to 6am. Our room was so dark with only...

Hi, Ana. Thank you for the comments and observations, they are very important to us because they make our services better. Effectively we use solar energy because we are engaged on having a different dynamics than big cities' pace. The time for energy usage (8pm to 6am) is informed in your arrival and in your reservation confirmation mail as well....

This enjoyable hotel has a beautiful beach with soft sand, shallow water, and nice waves. It's perfect for a swim at day or night with incredible sunrise view in the morning. Posada La Mar is a tremendous place to stay at the beach in Tulum.. They have a welcoming, friendly, and caring staff. Marcela at the reception greeted me every...

We stayed for a week here and had a great time. We really wanted a beachfront bungalow but since it was not available we wrote before and they offered us to stay 2 nights in a different bungalow and then switched (great service). They even moved our bags for us on the day we switched rooms. We stayed in the...

Bungallow Style Hotel as expected. Very weak service. For 160 USD per night you expect minimal but fair service but here staff is not attentive or nice (here they are arrogant) and the hotel.stopped in time. Not sure when they last maintained this hotel or did any type of.renovation. compared to other hotels around this is expensive. Today i am...

We stayed at the crystal room last month and enjoyed our stay. Adriana, the GM, is incredibly kind and goes out of her way to ensure a pleasant stay. I found all other staff to be equally friendly.
