My wife and I traveled to Tulum and against the better judgement of my wife I did not book anywhere to stay. I did not realize that the entire town would be booked out for new years. After driving around to what seemed like every hotel in Tulum we ended up at Rancho Tranquilo. We met Chris the owner and...

Kris and Audrey the owners of Rancho Traquilo are always very kind and helpful. The cabañas and the whole area including bathrooms are clean and all the staff is always available for any question and very helpful! Reasonable prices, specially compared to the high prices in Tulum beach area.

I stayed here for a week this place is awesome. Breakfast in the morning and great hospitality. A very cozy atmosphere. Walking through the garden I can see why they would call this place Rancho Tranquillo. This place is definitely a five star hotel in my book. Another one of Tulum's best kept secrets.

Very nice place just by the center of tulum but not in the busy hotspot. Short walking distance to good food places and anything else needed. Awesome yard area for relaxing and in general very nice facilities with a good break fast and cooking area. Super nice and helpful owners on top of all that.

Hello Mitch, Thank you so much for your kind words. We truly enjoyed having you stay with us. Also, thank you for the pumpkin seeds! I haven't had a chance to plant them yet, but I have a beautiful spot on the roof ready for them to thrive (I hope!). We hope to see you again soon. The next time...

If you're looking for 5 star accommodation this is not the place. It's very cheap and in my opinion perfect for backpackers on a budget. The cabanas are small and basic, but private. The shared bathrooms are relatively clean and there's hot water in the shower - I really couldn't ask for more for 26$ a night. Breakfast is pancakes,...

This place is terrible. Spend a little bit more and stay at a decent place, or just go for a hostel near the tourist area. First, our rental car company didn't have any cars available and we had to spend some time/extra money to figure something else out. We were arrived about 2 hours past when we had planned (though...

We stayed in one of the very nice casitas. The place is like jungle, so mexican and very friendly owner. It looks and feels much better than on the photos. The only thing I would like to have in my casita, is a little wardrobe for clothes as we stayed for 8 nights.
