We stayed there over a year ago and loved it. The food was amazing and the location was perfect. We especially loved the candlelit paths and restaurant at night. Very romantic and right on the beach. We had the beachfront palapa (lower story). Extremely colorful. Not sure how much I love rope beds though but, other than that, it was... More

We stayed there in 2011 and had a great time try to go back had to stay at Casa Violeta just wonderful. That's three hotels away. The entire site has been raised it's just the sandlot not even one brick left so it is definitely not reopening.

This was my favorite place to stay in Tulum. Everything about it was perfect .... Just magical! I have the best memories staying here! The beach was so quiet and not crowded, everything was clean, beautiful and taken care of! Its terrible what happened, they were expropriated for political non-sense reasons.. I just hope the owners will be able to... More

We stayed here in February 2014 and absolutely loved it. We wanted to return this year in March, but my attempts to reserve a room had no response. I finally called the hotel a few weeks ago. First I got a recording, and left a message. Still no response. The second time, the phone was answered by someone who spoke... More

I first stumbled upon Dos Ceibas about 10 years ago - we just stopped for lunch. Loved the place and came back twice more for week-long stays. It is ON the beach, has a wonderful, laid back atmosphere, your own feet will be the only ones making marks on the sand when you get up at 6 to walk the... More

I went here about 3 years ago for a very special trip. I must say the location is very nice and the beach stunning. However, there were a LOT of big bugs in the room at night ... paying $150USD a night you should never see this. The staff member who gave us a paid ride in the morning to... More

I can't wait to go here again. This is a small, quiet eco-resort with only a few cabanas. It is shady and peaceful, and there is a nice restaurant where you can have your feet in the sand while you eat. We stayed upstairs (I think the room is called the Mariposa). There was a hammock on the porch, and... More

I really lived the location, feel, and environmentally friendly concept of this hotel. The staff was really friendly as welcoming as well. That being said, I felt I couldn't give this place five stars because the electricity, and most importantly, the fans, shut off for hours every night, making the room unbearably hot. I understand this is because of the... More

Tulum literally offers something for everyone, so if you are looking for a relaxing, casual, extremely friendly, and Eco-conscious place to stay, Dos Ceibas is absolutely perfect. The location on the beach is stunning, the candlelit restaurant with tables in the sand is excellent, the rooms are minimalist yet clean and unique, but above all it is the staff that... More

We had the Mariposa top bungalow for our week in Tulum-April 2014. I knew I wanted to stay here as my last Tulum visit in Oct 2012 I was next door at overpriced Las Ranitas and I knew I wanted to stay at Dos Ceibas next time because the vibe was so chill when I had eaten there during that... More
