The hotel is tired and run down. Hit and miss on hot water in the shower, bathroom has the closet in it so clothes get damp. Bar runs out of key ingredients for the drinks ( no tonic for the G&T, no mint for the mojito) Service is slap dash with many food orders not turning up at the table. Food is predominantly awful, badly prepared and served, many dishes inedible and returned to the kitchen … but nothing improves. Management not showing any concern when bringing these issues to them ….. whole experience just really really awful

The resort location is good, and nice sea views (no beach access) and close to the beaches in Tulum, especially when using the free bikes provided. However, the rooms were very tired and dirty, mainly cobwebs in the room and balcony, the soft furnishings were badly stained (particularly the curtains), the windows were streaked with dirt and the walls were dirty - the result was it was not very relaxing to be in the room. We also struggled with the number of mosquitoes, there was a lot of stagnant water near our room, and I would have expected some mosquito nets to protect us whilst in bed. We had two days with no water on our room, and then also a night with no electricity or water. The resort staff seemed not to really care about the impact. The website advertises more features and restaurants than there actually are, and there’s no central information board about what’s on each day. The bar is fine but very lacklustre, and the bar staff seem to prefer to have the TV on their preferred channel (football or soap opera) rather than creating a nice vibe for guests with some music. Despite the location, I won’t be back and won’t be recommending this hotel to anyone.

No running water, no hot water, mini bar does not have beer, outdoor jacuzzis cold. Too many insufficiencies to list. In order to last the one week stay I had to spend most days off resort. Also there was some sort of yoga cult having a gathering during our stay.

This hotel is not what it seems. The resort is in deplorable shape. 1) Individual blocks of rooms are covered by a roof that leaks, making the entire interior slippery and dangerous when it rains. 2) The staff use towels in front of your door to keep your room from flooding when it rains. 3) The pools are not kept clean. The floor of the pool feels slick and greasy 4) There is only one place to eat, and the food selection is minimal. The woman making omelets in the morning is a magician, but I can only have eggs so many times. 5) No beach at all 6) There are no 24-hour food options. Once the restaurant closes, you are out of luck. I arrived late and had to beg for something to eat. I got some canned tuna and cabbage. - Great effort from the staff to get me something, but this is not what a 3 * or better resort should provide 7) On arrival, they did not have a room for me, so I was moved to a different hotel and a different room class. 8) The "jacuzzi room" was an excellent idea. However, the Jacuzzi was filthy; I asked the front desk to clean it and they did, but I did not use it. The positive side - the staff do their best to make you happy.

Sergio is absolutely the best! He was so attentive and by the end of our trip we were sad to say goodbye to him. Ulises was amazing and made sure that our stay was full of fun and always entertaining. I got a message and a facial from Elda in the spa and the facial was so relaxing I fell asleep. Noemi and Vincente gave us amazing service at our meals and Jorge Luis took good care of us at the swim up bar. The staff at the hotel truly felt like friends after 10 days and it was hard to go home.

We just finished our stay at Kore Tulum. I would rate this experience a 3 out of 5. The resort itself is small and beauitful. We stayed in a luxury jacuzzi suite with a garden view and the room was huge! It was clean and nice, however the jacuzzi did seem a bit dirty and we didn’t end up using it. The TV could only get 2-3 channels. Also, something to note, our mini fridge was never restocked with water or pop, nor was our toilet paper ever refilled. There are no elevators and only stairs, so keep that in mind if you have mobility issues. Please be aware that you will be required to have a $100 USD charge on your credit card in case of incidentals, along with being charged $5 USD per day for some environmental fee. I really wish we would have known this before hand, it was a suprise, and it was a bit upsetting. The resort has only one pool (which is closed by 8 p.m.) and one restaurant with NO beach access. The pool is nice and maintained. However, there are limited beach chairs, and it can at times be a struggle to secure one for the day. There are day beds on the “beach” area, but there is no access to the ocean other than a very small cove surrounded by sharp rocks, and it is prohibited to use. There isn’t much in the way for activities other than morning yoga, water aerobics, and volleyball. There is a gym, its very small and some of the equipment was broken, but they had a full selection of free weights and working treadmills. The restaurant is very sub-par and left us quite disappointed most times. The food presentation is beautiful but it is extremely lacking in flavor. Breakfast is basically the same thing every day - either a buffet or a menu that has the same things that are served in the buffet. We enjoyed sleeping in and would go for breakfast later on buffet days, and basically, everything was empty, which was upsetting. The lunch and snack menu are the same every day. The best thing I ate while I was there were the fish tacos, the chips with pico and guacomole, and the tempura onion rings. Dinner is a rotating menu that is supposed to change nightly - limited choices and very small portions. We ended up getting the Italian menu twice, as well as, Mexican night twice in our 7 day stay. The best night flavour wise, for me, was Thai night. I ordered the fried crab and rice - I will say that I wasn't able to find a single piece of crab meat in my dish. The service is not great with the exception of a few staff members, we honestly felt like they hated us most of the time regardless of how polite we were or how much we tipped. Expect long waits for food and drinks (up to an hour) or for it to be forgotten all together. Also worth noting is that the restaurant closes at 10:30 pm every night and you have no way to get any food after that. Aside from the pool bar they have one other bar that is open until 1am. The resort is a nice location with the town of Tulum only a 20-30 minute bike ride away. The resort provides bikes but please be aware there are only 16 available and they get scooped up very fast and you are not able to reserve - so this was also a disappointment - we were only able to secure 2 bikes on one day. If you would like to go to the beach they will tell you to exit the resort and go right and that the beach is 1-2 km down the road. This is true but what they don't tell you is that just outside of the resort it becomes a national park and they will charge you to go to the beach. The beach is full of clubs and if you want to sit on the chairs or have any kind of shade, you will of course have to pay. We spent a day at Canova Beach Club and it was fairly priced and the food was fantastic! Subsequently you can take a left outside of the resort and head down that road to a free public beach which we didn't learn about until after. Note this is the beach that all of the locals use (nothing wrong with that but just to be made aware). Overall our stay was okay. I was quite nervous going into it after reading all of the horrible reviews and I would say it was better than they had me expecting, however, I would not stay here again.

I want to give a shout out to Elda and Manuel in the spa. Eldar gave me a fabulous Hot Stone Massage. Just the right amount of pressure and heat. Oh, so relaxing! Manual did a terrific job with a facial. He had a special caressing touch, and I felt my skin glowing afterward! Wonderful spa experience!

Great service all around the resort, the food is a bit hit or miss, but normally decent overall. The facility has some issues with water pressure and temperature but without a water tower it's entirely understandable why the pressure is low. The people that make up the staff at Kore are what truly stand out. From the activities director Ulysses and the bartender Sergio everyone is super friendly and always willing to help out with your Spanish or conversate in English. The wait staff like Vicente, Naomi, Jorge Luis, and all the others were friendly and attentive. Also the spa is a little hidden gem if you go Elda is very kind practitioner who provides an excellent and relaxing massage.

Me fui bastante disconforme con respecto a la comida The vegetarian options are very few, the options we ordered were very poor in terms of flavors and variety, referring to the food, it had a lot to be desired! They should integrate more options or at least make the few options rich! I left quite dissatisfied with the food.
