We spent three nights at Zazil Kin. We had a great time and it made our trip to Tulum. Firstly the staff were amazing, particularly Crystal on the front desk and Rodrigo in the bar. We were made to feel very welcome and had a great time getting to know the crew. They were able to give us some local...

We've used this as a beach club rather than stay in the cabanas. Sum loungers are tented for the day for 100 pesos each which includes a drink. Most are either under a palm tree or a parasol. Waiters will come and get drink or food orders but tend not to come along every 5 minutes - better to wave...

This is a beautiful beach location in the middle of Tulum. The cabanas are OK but you are paying for location. They have a nice outdoor bar day and night, which is better than staying in the cabana. This is roughing it.

I am a solo female traveler and was initially apprehensive about security. Within a day, I felt perfectly at home, all the staff knew me and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly which made me feel safe as well as making sure I had a great time. The cabanas definitely vary, with some having older mattresses...

Simplicity at it's best. We had a rustic cabaña with a fan. Everything was alright. I would definitely stay again for the price. Bathroom was a short walking distance from our hut and the beach was a 2 second walk. We had electricity from 7pm to 7am which is fine, we did not go there to sit in our hotel...

Yes, the electricity only runs from 7:00 AM -7:00 PM. Not an issue because there is ample ambient light before 7 PM. No, there aren't any washrooms or showers in the rooms. They state it directly on their website, so don't complain. WiFi access was through satellite so I was slow. The staff were extremely friendly (security guard included) and...

We didn't spend the night here, though did spend a few hours at the bar/on the beach beds out back. It's a very beautiful, quiet location during the day, however I cannot speak to what it's like during the evening/night. We walked through the property on our way out and found it to be very quiet and rustic. Not our...

This is one of those 'secret' places you can't wait to write about, but, worry will change with increased development and more tourists, but, I must hope to encourage others to go so the business will prosper because it's perfect just as it is! This is very rustic, but, if you are happy with the basics, you'll have found a...

Had such a good experience. Exactly what you'd expect from a beach cabana. A little hut on the beach with a bed and a bug net. So much fun drinking on the beach and meeting other travelers. Have a restaurant in the sand with tasty food and only a short cab or bike ride into town for other restaurants etc....

This is a wonderful establishment right on the beach. I was told that it's the only "hotel" owned by locals in the area (all others are owned by Europeans). I say "hotel" because there's a building plus a number of private cabanas. The restaurant and bar staff are very nice and everything is very affordable. A few things to share:...
