While Tulum is somewhat well known--what is lesser known is that you fly into Cancun and take an approximate one and one half hour taxi or shuttle ride to your hotel. When I confirmed with Rosa del Viento I tried calling them to discuss a transfer and was repeatedly got a voice mail with a full mailbox so was unable...

Tulum is, for us, a much better alternative to Cancun. The facilities are more "rustic" and less extensive than Cancun, but all the better for it. Very vibey with a younger, eco friendly focus. This is a matter of taste of course.... Rosa del Viento is at the very extreme of the beach area, making it more difficult to share...

We visited Tulum for the first time in November 2016 and chose RDV based on reviews. The hotel was even better than expected. Our garden view room was literally a few steps from the ocean. The room was VERY clean, spacious and quiet with heavy sliding screens, COLD air con (didn't need all the time) and sense of privacy. The...

My family and I visited rosa del viento last October. I had my doubts about staying at a secluded hotel without TV or any other type of entertainment close by, and that is why I booked for only 3 (out of 10) night at rosa del viento. Big mistake!!!!!!! We had a wonderful time at rosa and would definitely go...

The facilities were very nice, clean, and simple with few luxuries. The main reason we booked a room was the cost effectiveness of an ocean front palapa room with a second floor balcony. Beach waves and privacy were what I was looking for! When we arrived; they showed us to a "jungle" room on the first floor facing the entrance...

Great hotel. Fairly cheap room for area, low amenities in room but great restaurant and awesome beach. Bicycles are free to rent to explore area and highly recommend the cenotes and ruins. Avoid the water and bring some bug spray. Good location with quick walk or chest cab ride to a lot of restaurants in area. Staff is helpful and...

We arrived yesterday to the hotel to a beach front room. Our room doesn't include a personal balcony like all the other rooms, when we talked to the guy at the front desk he acknowledged that our room is different but there is nothing he can do about it. We asked to change the room or cancel the reservation but...

We left Rosa Del Viento today and we miss it already! 3 peaceful days on what might be the most beautiful beach in this hemisphere. We absolutely loved every single moment of our stay there. The restaurant serves decent food, but many other options are available after a short taxi ride. The only minor weakness is the spotty wifi connection....

The hotel is a bit far away from downtown about 20min with car,and also 20min walk from the other bars resterunts in this area. It's quite and have a really nice room with ocean view. Thing I didn't like is the Bad WiFi in the hotel.
