This was my third trip to Tulum. I was here in 2003, 2010 and now 2016. I have watched the beautiful simple stretch of beach become more developed and lively over the course of that time. In choose a hotel, you really need to decide what sort of Tulum experience you wish to have. To me, Tulum is about cabanas... More

We had no idea what to expect before arriving and I must say that we were very pleasantly surprised. This was a beautiful place on a private beach. The area had much to offer as well. Our only regret is that we only had one night to stay as Tulum was a stop along our way south. We would definitely... More

This is a charming, rustic small hotel. Booking process and check in were easy. The staff was very friendly, the room very clean. There are quite a few bungalows on the property. The bathroom was also very clean, but the cold shower and dripping water were not very helpful after a full day on the beach. The beach has a... More

These rip-off artists took me for $456!! I booked a three night stay with Hotel CalaLuna for Nov 6-9. After my airline messed up my ticket (and apologized profusely and fully refunded my fare) I emailed Hotel CalaLuna to tell them about my predicament and that I was prevented from flying to Mexico. But they never responded. TripAdvisor had led... More

Good morning dear customer we are very sorry that it was "shocked", but when a customer makes a booking, the hotel undertakes to keep available the room booked for the dates chosen, so when a customer makes a reservation agrees to accept the cancellation clauses, her room was at his disposal and the hotel did not act in any way... A beautiful week in a very stripped back, low key, low tech basic but comfortable "on the beach" hotel Don't expect a pool, anything electronic or bells and whistles but if you want the most gorgeous private beach location try Calaluna Very friendly staff help you settle in to this almost "retreat" style location and forget all about your back-... From the moment we stepped on the property we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. George checked us in and couldn't be more accommodating. A semi-private beach tucked in a cove looked like a post card. We stayed in cabana #26 with a peaceful decor and beautiful view. A simple and good breakfast is included and is... More

My brother arranged a return taxi to the airport in Cancun through the front desk at this hotel. While on the way there, he was stopped by someone claiming to be the police and made to pay a fine because "the taxi was not properly registered". If there was a problem with the driver's registration, obviously that should have been... More

Good morning do not know what we are sorry for what happened to her brother, but we can not understand how the hotel may be responsible, so as to receive a ball on the commentary, if the driver of a taxi call a taxi rank (the hotel does not have their own transport service) had a driver's license expired guide... We arrived in Tulum late one night. The hotel was easy to find. If you have a car there is parking. The hotel people were extremely friendly and welcoming. We were lucky to get the only cabana that has direct beach front view. I strongly recommend Cabana 21, as it is the only cabana that faces the beach directly. This... More

Perfect location, and a beautiful private beach. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was. My boyfriend and I feel in love with Tulum and it was hard to leave the hotel! We rode bikes to the ruins ( bike store next door), we took a taxi to some cenotes ( arranged by the front desk soooo helpful)... More
