Coco Tulum Eco-hotel is a great place for a relaxing solo vacation. Why? - Beach side cabanas: The furthest cabana is perhaps 50 steps from the shore. - Bike rental: Tulum beach neighborhood is pretty small, perhaps 3 miles between the ruins and the Sian Ka'an reserve. A bike is the perfect way to move between restaurants, bars, beach clubs,...

We enjoyed our stay at Coco Tulum. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Even the shared bathrooms are nice. The ladies at the reception are very friendly - they gave us many useful recomandations for tours, bars or restaurants.

First things first. Tulum use to be a lot smaller, use to as in each year they somehow find a way to squish a few more hotels/resorts into the VERY small beach front that is available. What use to be protected land is shrinking, and thanks to "celebrities" the prices have gone up from a $25-$40USD a night to up...

Stayed in the Tower 2, top floor. Stairs so not good for people who struggle with stairs, but it is gorgeous, very basic but what we wanted. Amazing 180 views across the beach, and jungle. this place is like heaven on earth - simple, beautiful and so peaceful, however we went in June 2014, out of peak time so that...

Once again Coco Tulum made the experience beautiful and unforgettable. The rooms are super peaceful and romantic, the essential to have a good night sleep (with the sound of the ocean). The staff is very nice and helped us with great tips about the area, specially the manager Yeye. The restaurant is delicious (try the pizzas!), and we lived the...

I booked Coco Tulum to stay during march break this year (2015). I booked two rooms. I then had to cancel my rooms due to the fact that the hotel wasn't able to accommodate my request for a cot for a child (which wasn't clear on the booking page). No problem, these things happen, it was an oversight. We were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coco Tulum Hotel is a boutique hotel at Tulum beach where you will find comfortable and stylish cabañas located a few steps from the ocean. Coco's restaurant, Juanita Diavola, churns out fresh pizzas from our brick oven and smoothies of fresh juices. The pasta is handmade in our kitchen, and the chef serves specialties like tuna and beef carpaccio. The relaxed ambience is perfect to sit with a glass of wine or meet some fellow travelers at the bar. Designed as an eco-village Hotel, we generate enough electricity to power all fans and low-wattage lights of the Hotel - much more would only contribute to the end of the world. Our two wind turbines and 24 solar panels generate more than 14,000 watts x day. ... more   less
