The most tranquil beach you can imagine, the most romantic rooms you can dream of, friendly, helpful people. I have to admit my wife and I were a little apprehensive about this "boutique hotel" walking in but once past the counter and in our room we were blown away. We have returned three times, will return again. A little pricey...

A quaint eco hotel with an amazing staff and great vibe! If you need a place to chill and forget the day to day grind, then venture to Coco Tulum. Leave your technology at home we say, so you can soak up the sun, white sand beaches, and local flavor. We stayed five nights in cabana 2 right on the...

Hi Wendy! Cabana #2 is definitely the best cabana ever! I love it too... Thank you for sharing your thoughts around your recent stay with us. Coco Tulum should be your home away from home, with no techs but pure nature :) Come back soon! Best Regards

We really can recommend this hotel. It's nice located. What you shouldn't expect is air con but you get used to it. WiFi is slow, but working. We had a lot of sea weed during our stay, but this is nothing what the hotel could do against. So check the situation before you come there, you won't find a pool...

Hi Bjorn! First of all, thank you for taking the time to write down a review about your recent stay with us. We're happy to know you enjoyed our concept and set up. We can't provide A/C sin we work our energy through solar panels and windmills. About seaweed, it's a natural phenomenon we've been suffering for a couple of...

The facilities were quite nice. The shared bathroom was much better than I had expected. The rooms were also adequately sized and furnished. The fan was very nice, but I would recommend a room by the beach. My room was quite hot during the day. Additionally, there were A LOT of ants in my room. I could not keep any...

Hi Erin, Thank you for your feedback. We have taken note of your comments and informed front desk and Reservation's about your discontent around their service. There was actually a misunderstanding with your check out date, and finally we didn't charge your last night with us... so, hey that's on us ;) Glad you enjoyed it. Yeye Ramz

We absolutely loved our stay at Coco. Olga and the rest of the staff were all super nice and helpful, the grounds were so clean and well kept, and the beach area was beautiful. The cabanas themselves were so nicely done and chic, and falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean and nature made for such a great sleep!...

I absolutely loved coco tulum! A bit off the beaten path and very rustic, which is exactly what I needed. My cottage was 50 yards from the beach and I watched every sunrise! One thing I was very impressed with the area, excellent food all around! One of the best rabbit stews I ever tasted! We had a picky eater...

Hey Sean! Thank you so much for your nice review. We're glad to read you and your group enjoyed our beautiful Tulum. Coco Tulum is all about the "old school" Tulum, basic but stylish in a very hip way. Be sure to come back soon :) Best Regards Yeye Ramz

We have been just three full days in Coco. It was amazing stayi with wonderful staff and pretty descent food in the local restaurant. Less people and very nice furniture in the whole area. BTW, all beaches full of sargossa seagrass, we swam only twice. But, you can visit Yucotan cenotes, they are amazing and very refreshing.

Hello there! First of all thank you for taking the time to post a review about your recent stay with us. We appreciate the nice comments around the property and it's decoration, we try our best to make the looks of Coco Tulum very unique and simple at the same time. It's a bummer about the seaweed during this season......

We had one of the cabañas on the second level oceanfront. This helps with the heat because none of them have AC just floor fans. We were there mid July, the hottest time of the year. The canbanas are chic but eco friendly. The whole space is a shaded haven by the beach. Just beware there are only communal bathrooms...

Hi Alejandra, Thank you very much for writing down a review about your Coco Tulum visit. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Concerning the A/C in the cabanas, since we are an eco-friendly complex and generate our own electricity by solar panels and windmills, we are only able to provide a fan for each cabana (sometimes two upon...

All the photos in the hotel's website are outdated. They've had a algae / sea weed problem for months and the whole coast is covered in them. The water is not crystal clear but dirty brown. We asked to cancel our reservation as soon as we arrived and saw the beach, but they said they do not issue any refunds....

Dear Felipe, I am very sorry to read you felt like we were unable to meet your expectations. I completely understand your disappointment when you saw the seaweed in the ocean, though this is a problem we all need to address, as tourists and locals. Some days, the water is back to being clear, others the seaweed is everywhere. This...

We stayed in Room 10 for 6 nights with our 15 month old son and it could not have been better! The room had a kind sized bed, basic shelving and fans. The hotel provided us with a playpen for our son to sleep in and there was still ample space in the room. Thankfully we packed our own sheets...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Coco Tulum Hotel is a boutique hotel at Tulum beach where you will find comfortable and stylish cabañas located a few steps from the ocean. Coco's restaurant, Juanita Diavola, churns out fresh pizzas from our brick oven and smoothies of fresh juices. The pasta is handmade in our kitchen, and the chef serves specialties like tuna and beef carpaccio. The relaxed ambience is perfect to sit with a glass of wine or meet some fellow travelers at the bar. Designed as an eco-village Hotel, we generate enough electricity to power all fans and low-wattage lights of the Hotel - much more would only contribute to the end of the world. Our two wind turbines and 24 solar panels generate more than 14,000 watts x day. ... more   less
