The staff at this hostel are very chilled out. Perhaps TOO chilled out, but that's okay I guess, considering the alternatives. We had a double room on the ground floor. The room was simple but clean, however it had a bit of a dank smell. Pros: 1. Free breakfast (acceptable quality, but not many options). 2. Honour system with the...

Be very careful with the payment and pay all nights you want to stay upfront!! They seem to not control their online bookings very well since we arrive without booking, paid for one night and said we might stay 2 or 3 nights. The next morning they told us to leave since they had reservations and no rooms left. We...

Casa del sol is a great cheap option away from the main road. It's a couple blocks south and 1 block west of the centre. Stayed in one of the dorms. there's a very social common area right next to the dorms which means things get noisy in the mornings and nights (although Lucia, wonderful woman who runs the place,...

We decided to stay at Casa del Sol at the beginning of our Central American tour and we enjoyed it so much that we managed to squeeze in another stay before we flew home 3 months later. The quirky layout of the hostel makes it an enjoyable place to hang out and Eric, the guy who runs it, is so...

We initially planned on staying here a few days but ended up there for a week. The saying "you get what you pay for" does not really apply here. The room we had (room 8 from memory) was massive, clean and more then adequate. There are two floors we stayed on the top in a private room which was a...

Good hostel with nice owner Lucie who is very sweet and almost like a mum to her guests! Breakfast included and has free bicycle hire and has cold jacuzzi (would be great in hot weather!) Has a Kitchen to cook own food and fridge to store food and located across the road from supermarket. Clean room with fan and shared...

we moved here after our horrible stay at lobo. Eric who was in charge is a legend. He's the most chilled out guy I have ever met. He gave us a very welcoming friendly reception. The hostel is pretty simple but was always clean. Same goes for our room. Breakfast was good, something different everyday we were there. Would go...

this is a really nice place. Great free breakfast, something cooked and different every day. We had a private room, which was nice and clean and good value. Eric, who runs it, is a great character and very welcoming and friendly. We had a great time here.

We had the best time at Case del Sol. A very social place with bikes, internet and (a small) breaky included. This place totally made our time in Talum. A massive thankyou to Pablo, Pepe and the ever hovering Eric for a fabulous stay :) Anna & Rowan, Australia.
