We stayed at Playa Mambo for three nights and had wished we could have stayed much longer. We are a family with two small kids and had the large bungalow in front of the beach. Fantastic ocean view! The regular bungalows are quite small. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful! While we were there they were renovating and upgrading...

Dear Erika, It was such a pleasure to have you and your divine kids here with us. We continue as unobtrusively as we can the upgrade work to make it even more beautiful. Yes, you should have stayed longer!

We did not have rooms at playa mambo, but ate breakfast and borrowed their sun beds during our stay in Tulum. Due to the lovely staff this became our "second home". Viktoria, the manager was from Sweden and spoke very well English. She was able to give us great restaurant and activity tips. The owners were great and did everything...

location and beach is perfect - bed is super comfy! We loved getting out of our cabana and straight onto the beach. Only real negative: Most everything in Tulum is cash only, and the ATMSs rarely work. Not the end of the world, but for places charging close to $300 per night, I think they should start taking credit cards....

We stayed in Turquoise , I think the cheapest of their places and it was perfect for a couple, but are all Mexican beds so small? The slightly more expensive rooms are on the beach with nice verandas to go with. Playa Mambo is towards the end of the Hotel Zone , but it is the same all along the...

This was our first time in Tulum, and we knew Playa Mambo was going to be rustic but we didn't quite expect it to be so rustic. As other reviews have commented, their is no A.C. This might work if you face the sea, but our room had no such view (and to say as their website does that the...

The huts are right on the beach so setting is lovely, however with it being near the jungle it was extremely humid there and so no air con was a big downside. We were provided with a fan but they just blew hot air around. Our hut was near a generator and so was quite noisy. We had to ask...

We stayed at Playa Mambo for 2 nights and just loved it! The rooms really are 'eco' and there is no air con and the lights are not very bright but the location is amazing. Right on a gorgeous white sand beach with lovely warm ocean. The whole resort is set on the sand, so its definitely shoes off and...

Playa Mambo was generally really lovely. Straight onto the beach, get service and beautiful cabanas. My only problem is that I have crappy temperature control issues and with no air conditioning I found the rooms a little stifling but that could just be me! Tulum is an expensive area but the happy hour and the food menu and really reasonable....

Me and my partner spent a whole week in Playa Mambo cabanas and the experience was really superb. We went there looking for a quiet place to rest and enjoy the sea and we found exactly that. The cabins were ample, clean, silent and nicely decorated, with a king-size bed covered by a mosquito-net. In six nights we found zero...

Everyone who arrives at Tulum should know that the hotels on the beach (Zona Hotelera) are located in a national park. Because of that the hotels cant connect to the electricity lines and are not connected to water pipes. We didnt knew it when we made the reservation to Playa Mambo. There was no A/C in the room, just a...
