We had a great time at The Royal Haciendas . It’s an excellent family and couple resort. Yamir from the Activities Team is always friendly and lots of fun. He makes casino night exciting and fun !! We have been members for 17 years and are always happy returning.

Hotel's Favourite
When we booked out daughters wedding in the area of the Haciendas, we knew we would want our guests to stay here! We were able to get two amazing vacation specialist through Royal Reservations We had Mitzi Ailed Pelaez Clemente and Fanny Aurora Lopez. They worked with all 70 of our guests and were able to get everyone the accomodations they wanted and booked their transfer through Thomas Moore. They made the process so smooth for everyone! I didn't have to do a thing. I provided a list of our invited guests and they did the rest. They kept me updated with who had booked, etc. They were amazing??? During our visit in January of 2022 we met Efren Dzul Cetina, the Food and Beverage Assistant. He proposed to us to have a Welcome Party with a Beach BBque. I was able to book directly with him and over email, we were able to come up with a plan. He was extremely responsive to all my questions, and there were many! The day of the event we met with him and he went over the location and set up. That evening we arrived for our "beach bbque", which was 1000% better than we anticipated! The decor, the food, and again the service, was amazing. We were blown away! We had 40 guests in attendance and everyone felt so special They had a special welcome cocktail for all to enjoy, which was a surprise and everyone loved them. The food was delicious and plentiful! We opted for an open bar and they bartender was amazing. The desserts were amazing! This could have been a wedding, that is how nice it was. We were at the Haciendas for 10 days. The service to me is what makes a Royal Resort. I hate to name people in a review, because honestly, they were all amazing, but the attention to detail Efren had for not only our welcome party, but our entire stay. He made sure to check in with me to make sure everything was going well. He was able to assist me with renting our the private dining room in Los Murales. We needed multiple cakes, different nights and he took care of all of that for me! He truly made the week flow so nicely and took all the stress away from me. The waiters Cesar, Hercules and Ramiro who worked our welcome party were amazing! They also gave excellent service in other area of the resort as well. Yali, our concierge, was amazing! I started emailing with her weeks before our arrival. When you have 70 guests arriving, there is so much to coordinate. She was responsive, helped me with every single request I had. I cannot thank her enough, she really kept me organized! The bridal party had a spa day and that was all coordinated so they could all go together! It truly was a magical time. The restaurants are tough to get reservations for and I think pre-covid more guests went into town to eat some nights and that's what has caused the increase in onsite dining. A tip our concierge gave us was to walk by the restaurants and ask about a table being available. Some guests make reservations and never show up (so wrong, just cancel!), but most nights our guests did have luck at the restaurants. Also, don't forget about the delicious crepes at the Rotunda Bar and they also have great paninis! The breakfast buffet is my favorite meal! Also, at dinner at La Palapa del Sol, you can also order off of the menu, which has some great options! The food and service are top notch. Not sure if they have a new pastry chef, but I can say the dessert are so much better than they used to be. They are delicious! When we booked our room block and welcome party I didn't see any other reviews on Trip Advisor. You can get all information on rooms etc. on tons of other reviews, I wanted this to be more for people having events at The Haciendas. I so wish we could do it all again. We had our wedding off site, but the staff all knew we were there for a wedding. The amount of staff that stopped us and asked how the wedding was, asked to see photos, etc. meant the world to us. They truly are like family to us. Tip - if you have a wedding you can have your guests cut off their all inclusive wrist band - store it in their safe and the next day take the band to the front desk for a free replacement. You just have to give them your old wrist band. It was perfect as my daughter didn't want the bands in her photos! My dad is 92 years old and the process to rent him a scooter prior to arrival was so easy through the Market. The day of his arrival I brought it out to the bellman and told them my dads name and they had it ready and waiting for his arrival. There was no place my dad could not get to with his scooter! Even the beach! So accessible with the scooter!! Upon departure, the bellman said they would return it for us! They were so helpful. There are so many more people who provided incredible service and I unfortunately, don't know all of their names. I can say there was not one person who did not provide good service. Everyone works so hard and as a team.

Really good food and excellent service. Enjoying Casino night right now. My room is amazing. The people are always the best part of the experience. Just a little apprehensive about the Holiday Inn purchase of the Royal properties. Hotel is dealing with a natural beach erosion issue but is working with the government and experts to deal with the situation.

At the members' lounge today, we had a wonderful experience. We ask to have our suite for next week moved to a different location at the resort. The gentleman at the desk was so helpful. He made a phone call and relayed our request to change the location.

The resort is good but it has some pros and cons. The cons: 1. It’s annoying that every time any waiters or beach and pool customer service ask your room number or room key. Today during 4 hours we were asked about our room number more than 6 times! We have all-inclusive packages and the bracelets on our hands. So what the point is to ask every time room numbers? 2. The beach in a bad condition! The stones in the water are hurt my leg. My son tripped over a fairly large rock on the beach 3. Half of waiters service table very slow. it’s easier going to the bar by myself and pick up the order. The pros: 1. Food is good 2. The hotel’s area is large and spacious. 3. The swimming pools and jacuzzi also is good.

Outstanding Resort. Beach is terrible because of the erosion. Plans to fix are underway. Oscar in the Palapa restaurant is the best waiter I’ve ever had. He is personable, conscientious, thorough and likable. He went out of his way to do things for us. Edin at the front desk is also outstanding. He was so nice and efficient. The ONLY problem we encountered the whole week was our Concierge PePe. He was terrible on follow through. Once we had our initial conversation with him the day we arrived, I had to hunt him down to find out whether or not we had reservations that we had requested. He gave us slips for 2 of our 3 reservations, and never contacted us again. We asked him to accommodate us with the Spa so we could set up massages. No one ever contacted us, so on the way there to do it ourselves, we saw him and asked what happened, he just laughed. He is far below Royal Resorts standards in my opinion.

Overall a nice stay at Royal Haciendas. Great general staff especially Hercules at pool bar who took wonderful care of us as well as Ulises at La Palapa del Sol who single handedly saved our week's dinner experience. Thank you! One major con downgraded the overall rating - saying no to a timeshare presentation led to an unhelpful concierge and zero help with restaurant reservations that are nearly impossible to secure. When we did manage to get reservations, it took multiple calls and getting up early. Unfortunately, the food at Kiniko's was not that great so all the aggravation was not really worth it. To the resort powers that be - when you have couples only please do not place their room overlooking a child's play area.

This experience overall was soo terrible. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, people treated us like we were nothing. The hotel staff only care about the time share people and we are nothing to them. They wouldn’t allow us to sit in the shade with our 9 month year old baby, if we put out the umbrella they would tell us to shut it down. We were so restricted from everything. Nothing was properly explained to us regarding the $50USD credit at the end. We assumed we could use that credit for paying for something we have bought from the hotel. But no, they didn’t allow that. They screwed us around and never explained anything properly. We were always running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you do not have a time share!

The staff just cares about the time share families, ignore anyone else that has paid double the amount to be there. The service sucks the staff is sooo rude and roll their eyes when you ask them for a service. If they only want to provide service to time share people don’t open all inclusive services to the general Population. The worst resort ever. They say it’s 24/7 room service, at any time Given if you order it takes 1.5 hours to bring the foood up. We brought our concerns up with the concierge at the front desk, no one was empathetic or cared about what we had to say. Would Not reccomend. If you sit by the pool under the umbrellas the staff goes around asks you to not use the umbrellas, and want you to sit in the scorching sun. Would not provide a reason why we had to close our umbrellas but other people had them open around us in the same area.

A one star review would be an overstatement. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left they caused issues for us every day. First day, they made us upgrade the room and pay an extra $2200 due to the rooms capacity only being 3. When we asked others they said it was a capacity of 4. As a family we got 3 rooms when we could have gotten 2. You have to pay for every single thing at the resort. The buffet food sucks and they only have 2 restaurants on the resort.. which they all keep saying is full but all tables look empty. They only prioritize the time share guests. From the two restaurants, half the menu is extra surcharges. Room service always takes 1 hour + even if you ask for 1 simple thing like a water bottle. The beach is disgusting and isn't being cleaned regularly, it's unswimmable. Rocks, branches, seaweed is everywhere. They say they have hot tubs but half the time they aren't working and the one that's working is the same temperature as the regular pool. They don't serve any good commercial liquor included in the all inclusive. The room we paid for was over $4000 USD which was supposed to be an Oceanview room and we could see about 1 inch of the ocean blocked by all trees. Absolute horrible experience, other resorts in Mexico are way better and have more shows, events, amenities, cheaper, better service etc. Lastly, it took us 3 hours to check in because of no staff working at the counters...
