We stayed at the Hotel Banana for four nights while in Playa del Carmen for a friends wedding. It's a great economical choice that is close to the beach, about two blocks, clean and the staff was very friendly. Our room had a king bed, a good sized bathroom, and a little balcony that overlooked 5th Ave. We really had...

2 Nights. The location is Great, Right on 5th Street (The pedestrian only Restaurant and Shops). Was in unit 304 on street side with balcony. There was a bit of noise but not to loud or to late. The room was large. Bed was firm ! No problems with staff.

Stayed for 5 nights, three adults. Beds were comfy, clean soft towels and beds made every day. Shower has excellent water pressure, water very soft. Bring your own wash cloths (they are not provided) Go to store before you get here and grab a roll of paper towels and some water bottles. They do have mini fridges. They do have...

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of January when PDC was very busy! The staff here are great - really friendly and approachable. The rooms are nicely decorated and the shower was great after a week of more basic accommodation in the Yucatan. There is a nice little common area for guests and a small pool. I...

The hotel is very basic but has a great location. It's clean and the rooms have a working AC even if the beds aren't very comfortable. It's located on the 5ta Avenida so at night it can get very loud outside. The walls and doors are very thin so you can hear everything that your neighbors do, but it's a...

Room was clean and very Mexican!! Nice little fridge, clean bathroom, and great balcony to drink our wine/beer at night! Can be noisy at night but we just put the ac on and it drowned out the noise. Very friendly people at the desk too, and helpful.

I really recommend the hotel banana, we spent 8 days and we had a very nice time there, it's a very good place if your plans are just sleep and past the day outside, we had a room with balcony and we rest very well, we don't have any complain, our room every single day was clean, thank you for...

This hotel is located on 5th street, the pedestrian only, main shopping, loaded with restaurants, street. It is very easy to get to everything a tourist may want, but it is far enough down the street to be out of the noise, which at some bars is quite loud. Our room is 310, on the top floor with a wide...

Great spot of Fifth Avenue. It is close to good restaurants and stores, close to Mamitas Beach Club, but you can still have silence nights (even in 1st floor bedrooms)! Cozy bedrooms and very good service, not so good bathrooms and shower. The pool is small, so don't there expecting you will use it, with so many wonderful beaches waiting...

My boyfriend and I stayed here our very first night in Mexico and ended up coming back for a second night instead of staying in Vallidolid. The staff is really nice and accommodating. They don't speak much English, but they genuinely try to work with you. (Luckily I know some Spanish) The rooms were very cute and comfortable with a...
