My husband and I decided to get married in Playa del Carmen, and I spent a lot of time deciding where to have my friends and family stay. The reviews of Luna Blue were great, and I liked the idea of a cozy, garden hotel located just outside of the big downtown area, but close enough to walk everywhere. We...

My best friend and I stayed @ the Luna Blue for my 31st birthday - we were there for 5 nights and it was just lovely! The jungle-y courtyard area is a literal oasis when you come in from the heat of the dusty sidewalks. I loved the hammock down near the waterfall - a perfect place for reading or...

My friend and I stayed in a unit with a kitchen for 6 nights in June. It’s a perfect little oasis away from the rest of what can be a crazy Playa del Carmen. Mammitas beach club was the best way to unwind….we spent at least three days just lying on the beach./ When we wanted to do something else...

My girlfriends and I stayed at Luna Blue 7 years ago during our senior year of high school ( when it was called Hotel Zanzibar). When we decided to get together this year for a "Mexico Reunion," we knew we wanted to stay at the same place! Luna Blue is laid back, beautiful, friendly, comfortable, and not at all shi-shi....

Well, like the previous reviewer my wife and I are from Houston,Tx But, unlike the previous reviewer we disagree on a few things. My wife and I were looking for peace and quiet, which is just what the Luna is. No thrills just relaxing. I read a book from cover to end. haven't done that in a couple of years....

Just to add to the chorus of people who have heralded the beauty of Luna Blue - I recently stayed there with a girlfriend for five magical days, and loved every moment of my time in Tony and Cheri's care. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, chatty and perfected the balance of familiarity and respectful distance. Our room was a...

My husband and I stayed for a week, and the Luna Blue was a great fit for us. Inexpensive, no serious frills, clean, quiet, and great staff! The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful, and our housekeeper was wonderful. I liked the Beach Club, too - a short walk and the beach and water were gorgeous. My only...

I went to the Luna Blue with 2 friends. We absolutely loved this property and I did recommend it to two other friends who have booked their stays there as well. This was my first time in Mexico, and couldn't have asked for a better first experience. The Mamitas Beach club was fabulous which is complimentary to guests staying at...

We stayed at the Luna Blue in Playa from April 5th to the 13th. The first night we had to stay in a smaller room on the first floor which was fine but we loved the tree top room we had for the rest of the stay. It was nice to have water and a fridge available to us in...

I was so looking forward to my stay at this little hotel from all the reviews. Maybe I expected too much. I knew there was no pool & was OK with that as well as no TV. My experience with this hotel was that it's just OK. It should never be rated in the top 10 on this site as...

If this guest had done a little research, she would not have been so disappointed with her stay. We are a small hotel with only 18 rooms, so the selection of our room types is limited. This guest specifically wanted two beds in the room. We offer multiple beds in our lowest priced Standard rooms ($55 US plus tax) and...
