My family stayed at this hotel for a week May 2011. We had a great time. I thought the place was pretty nice and am adding my opinion to this list of mixed reviews. This was my first all inclusive experience and enjoyed all the hotel had to offer. The food was good. My seven year old son was happy...

I returned on April 4th from a super vacation in Mexico, staying at the Allegro with my 21 year-old-daughter. Although Allegro is a 3 star resort, it was very satisfactory. Allegro is a smaller resort with beautiful grounds, which makes you feel like you are living in a beautiful, lush garden. The thatched guesthouses have 4 units down and 4...

For the cost of our trip for our family of 4 and the other family members who also vacationed at the Allegro Playacar, it was a good value. We didn't pay for a 5 star and we didn't expect a 5 star. Check in was quick which was great because all we wanted to do was get to the pool...

After booking the hotel and reading more reviews I was scared about what I had gotten myself into. I was pleasantly suprised. The ride from Cancun can be about an hour. Relax and look at the country as you head to your destination. Alto obviously does not mean sto to the drivers...it was great!! Riveria Maya is being built up...

My friend and I just returned from our wonderful trip and found the Allegro a lovely resort. The food was great! It was prepared more in a Mexican style than trying just to cater to North American "tastes." The beach area was beautiful and an added bonus was that the swimming pools were kept open late at night. We have...

Had we arrived and checked straight into this hotel we might have thought that it was ok. However on arrival we were informed that there was no room at the hotel! Despite having booked months before hand they said we had to stay for a few nights at the hotel next door. this was the Riu playacar, a 5* hotel,...

We stayed here from April 16, 2011 to April 23, 2011 and loved it. The only thing between our bedroom and the Beutiful Ocean, was the sand on beach. We stayed in Room #4801 of the First Club and would Highly Recommend this. King Bed was just right, 2 TV's, as if you really use, and 2 bathrooms. Aida and...

We booked this without first reading the reviews , if I had read the reviews prior to booking I would probably not have stayed here, but once the $$ was paid , not much we could do but hope for the best. I find these trip reviews from fellow travellers very helpful , especially ones that contain tips on things...

The room had a/c unit that was very noisey. Had to turn it off at night to try and sleep. Beds are a thin single mattress over a slab of concrete. Beds are made of concrete. When we checked in, only had one room in the light that worked. The rest were taped together with black electrical tape. The safe...
