Little hotel with great location in the old town. Room was small but comfortable and has air condition for the warm nights. Good staff that speaks good English was also a bonus point. Would easily stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Montejo, we ended up staying for a week. It's in an old colonial building but the rooms are nice and modern, air-con works well and we found the bed comfy. Only complaint was the the wifi doesn't work in the rooms, we always had to sit outside. The location is just two blocks...

This place was a good location, near to the old town, although we didn't realise the new town existed until our fifth day! Some staff were great and really interesting and helpful, others needed to seriously improve their local knowledge and recommendations. The hotel had some good features; pool (although needed a good clean), effective air-con, and friendly staff. However,...

Comfortable, quiet, centrally located. Staff is helpful and speak English. There is free, but slow, wifi. I didn't like my bed and was able to move to another room with a more comfortable bed with no problem. My only complaint is that until I saw another group, I didn't realize I could get a continental breakfast at the attached restaurant....

Great location, great service, rooms are ok, not super great , but they are clean and good to sleep at, the pool in nice, it is and old house turned into a hotel, so the arquitecture is awesome and one block away form the cathedral and main square makes it a great asset to travelers who want to see the...

GOOD: $32 per night / lovely central courtyard / air conditioning / nice staff / breakfast included / laundry service / plenty of hangers in closet / lots of plugs for your gadgetry / tall, beamed ceilings ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: only warm water / poor water power / rock hard bed / lumpy pillows / peeling paint / too few...

This colonial manor has been turned into a charming hotel. The rooms were clean, with good air-con, tv and shower, the staff friendly, and very nice common areas make it feel more like a guest house than a generic hotel room. I found this hotel very convenient and a great value even though I didn't have time to enjoy the...

We stayed in a junior suite. There were two tv’s: one of them was a big flat screen TV. The building was very nice with high ceilings and a nice courtyard. The room could use some upgrading. When we arrived the floor of the suite was dirty. Room was not very dark.

Back in the 1990's when I moved to Merida, I stayed here for 10 days until I could find an apartment. Now all the things that needed to be updated have been and a pool has been added. Otherwise it is just the same wonderful ancient house as I remembered. If you like to stay in a simple and authentic...

I have stayed in many hotels in Mérida over the years, both budget and pricey, but I tend to enjoy more typical surroundings over some flashy place that could be anywhere. The Hotel Montejo, at 560 pesos a night single, is a true value in this city and is also a charming oasis in the heart of the city. I...
