Mérida the city, is without doubt - spectacular! Hotel Julamis is indeed a rare gem of a Hotel. Truly a "one of a kind." Unique, quaint and charming... However, the real "Magic" was our brilliant host Alex and his lovely wife Mary. Gracious beyond measure. Guaranteeing that our stay with them would be the absolute highlight of our visit to...

Awesome Hotel at a great location with antique rooms in a colonial setting. The host Alex is an awesome person, also an amazing Chef. You also get to try the Mexican Tequila at the hotel every evening.

Hotel Julamis is a charming place located walking distance to many of the city's main attractions. You can also walk to many of the local bars. The owner Alex made us feel right at home. He too is as charming as this hotel. In the morning he would prepare us a nice breakfast of fruit, pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice....

We stayed in hotel Julamis for a few days over Christmas, I can't praise it highly enough. Alex and Mary were so welcoming and entertaining, the breakfasts were incredible, the hotel is beautiful with amazing views from the roof terrace, our room was very pretty and the beds comfy. The Hotel Julamis is a small and lovely hotel in the centre of Mérida. It's very conveniently located for all the sights in town, which are within easy walking distance, while not being right in the midst of all the noise. The rooms are nicely decorated, and the beds are comfortable; but the best thing of all is the lovely...

Complimentary breakfast is served in the beautiful courtyard and includes fruit, coffe, homemade cake, eggs with potatoes and spicy sausage. Alex gave us a lot of advices about things to do, where to eat, etc. that we appreciated...

We stayed 6 nights at Hotel Julamis while we explored Merida and its nearby ruins and cenotes. Alex, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and available for his guests. He prepares a delicious breakfast each morning and is flexible on the time. You can walk to terrific restaurants at Santa Anna square and to the main plaza in under 10 minutes...

Although we only stayed a week, Alex gave us many suggestions of what to do while we were visiting. He helped us when our flight was switched, waited for us to drive in, and had tequila ready when we arrived! The room was beautiful and the breakfasts were very nice every morning. We are ready to return ASAP!

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Julamis and it was an enjoyable time. Alex Rudin is the owner-operator of the hotel and makes all guests feel welcome. He will cheerfully greet you when you check in (just let him know your time in advance). As an added benefit, there is a bottle of tequila by reception while he...

A hotel with a very personal feeling since it's basically run by one man, Alex (without counting the maid who does a good job too). We felt very welcomed and Alex gives you a lot of useful information. He does fresh breakfast himself every day which was nice and unique. The room was ok, clean, but as you will often...
