The rooms are very comfortable, quiet and clean. Good location. The Swiss owner, Alex, has lived in the area a long time. You could not ask for a more knowledgeable concierge, stellar chef and captivating conversationalist rolled into one! And his attention to detail of his breakfast presentation, the ambience and guest comfort is remarkable.

From the moment you step through the doorway you will feel at home. Chef Alex is a wonderful host and you will want for nothing. The beds are sooo comfortable, I was sleeping in every morning. But, I was never late for the most delicious breakfast and coffee. Even after the evening tequila tasting on the rooftop deck. The location...

Hotel Julamis fit the bill for us on many levels...close to Centro, close to Paseo de Montejo, breakfast included. rooftop, air-conditioning, and tequila tasting in the evenings. But it was so much more. Chef Alex is a wonderful host....a kind, gentle man who provided an excellent breakfast, excellent conversation, and more caring about the experience of his guests than anyone...

This property is unique (in the best possible way). The owner is a 'character', a renowned and famous cook, whose incredible talent can be glimpsed at breakfast time where he produces original, and delicious, dishes which delight both the eye and the palate. It is worth staying for access to such quality food alone. The bedrooms are individually designed and...

We stayed in the Colonial Suite for three nights after checking out of a hotel closer to the city center where wedding guests were booked. The hotel near the center was LOUD at night with the ruckus of nightclubs, but Hotel Julamis, although still within easy walking distance to the center, was an oasis for rest and contemplation. Although there...

We arrived and had the free choice of two rooms, both of which were delightful. The rooms are furnished beautifully and with an original taste. Alex welcomed us personally (with tequila!), and showed us around including pointing out the town from the terrace with comprehensive recommendations for the both what to see and do in and out of town (with...
