Hotel Marionetas is a very pleasant place to spend a few days in Merida within a relaxing atmosphere. I first spent 2 nights at the hotel and then returned for another one following a few days at the sea. Each time I was assigned a spacious and nicely furnished room. It's a bit of a walk to the Zocalo but... More

We stayed at this beautiful, authentic Merida style hotel while road-tripping around the Yucatan. We parked our car in the convenient, secure parking lot across the street, and had a smooth checkin. We stayed in room #6, which I'm surprised to see was previously negatively reviewed. The room was lovely with artistic details and a variety of comfortable furniture. The... More

The Hotel Marionetas is a converted old historic house in Merida, with essentially two 2 storey blocks of accommodation either side of a central courtyard in which is a useable but small swimming pool. The rooms are generous and clean, and look into the courtyard through greenery. The staff are pleasant and the fruit and yoghurt breakfasts are very generous.... More

Very cute hotel with good breakfast and service. The first room we got #1 was very cool, nice painting and decoration with a high ceiling. After we had to move to room #6 we were less happy with the room, because the shower was leaking ( a lot) which prevented a good night sleep. We would highly recommend this hotel,... More

8 rooms in this downtown location. The hotel is the nicest thing on the street, and there is parking across the street. Wireless service is free. Rooms are furnished with a Mayan hammock also. We spent 3 nights there and enjoyed the service and our stay. A pretty continental breakfast is included. We would come back. Try room 5, upstairs.... More

My husband and I have travelled to Mexico on multiple occasions, but never to Merida. We went back and forth over several hotels and finally decided on this one. We stayed one night at the beginning of our trip and one night at the end. The first night was in a standard room and the second night in the small... More

This hotel is one of those great Merida casonas that has been converted, there are only 8 rooms, simple decorated but cute, it has nice little pool, breakfast is included, service is cordial and helpful, location great just 15 minutes walk to the main plaza. AC and fans in all rooms works wonders in the hot weather. Quiet, calm, good... More

We stayed here for three nights. Service was absolutely great. We stayed in two different rooms. We both loved everything about this hotel. The pool, the atmosphere and the location. The place has been modernized and still contains an element of the traditional Merida feel. We'd definitely come here again.

Such a charming place with a great accommodating staff IN A SAFE AREA. Enrique at the front desk was a jewel The people in Merida were so very friendly. Enrique switched us from room 7 to room number 2 (musty smell, and tiny windows in room 7) the smell dissipated once the A/C was turned on. It was a romantic... More
