We checked into the Galeria and after a few minutes, my wife and I became very uneasy about the thin, homemade doors and flimsy locks. Hotel Trinidad is an extraordinary space. The elegance of yesteryear is everywhere evident in this splendid colonial building whose luscious ambiance and attentive staff transport guests to the charm and leisure of Mexico "as it used to be." A sprawling complex saturated with artwork, richly-paneled walls, a lush garden fountain, squawking parrots and a billiard room. Hotel Trinidad also offers...

This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in while visiting Mexico. The rooms are artfully decorated, comfortable, and an excellent deal. The staff is very pleasant and helpful as well.

Loved this place! Its the definition of funky, weird and exotic. The lobby is filled with huge plants and art....some great, some awful. But you could sit in there for hour and your eyes would always be finding something new. The grounds and the hotel itself is this wonderful convoluted adventure...there's something new around every corner. And there are a...

First I must tell that there are actually two different HOTEL TRINIDAD in Merida Yucatan. One of them is only HOTEL TRINIDAD and the other is the one known as HOTEL TRINIDAD GALERIA. I think that it is an accomodation but also a general destination to see and look around because it is quite interesting, maybe the most strange and...

“It might be helpful to ask to look at the room before checking in. All the rooms seem to be different from one another. Or, at least, there are groups of room that are different from other groups.”
  • Because of the drippy air conditioner we asked for a different room. There was artwork here, too
