I stayed at Luz en Yucatan from 10/5 until 10/8. I was upgraded to the penthouse with $69/ night. Used to be a hacienda with high ceillings, big windows and hallways, the place is very beautiful, very quiet and relaxing. My room is huge with my own terrace and kitchen. All the pots, pans, and eating utensils are also provided....

I was looking forward to staying at this hotel from the moment I had visited their funky website. When you arrive at a place where it's hot after a full day travelling, sweaty, tired, dragging your backpacks along, and as part of the check-in they tell you that there's a couple of complimentary beers waiting for you in the fridge...

We went to Merida mainly because we wanted to see the Light and Sound show at Uxmal. Merida by itself took us by surprise. The city is vibrant with a lot of emphasis given to art and artists. Luz En Yucatan reflects just the way the city is. The hotel is located close to the main square but yet not...

Luz En Yucatan is an oasis in this vibrant Yucatecan city. Centrally located, great rooms, comfy beds, a nice little pool, friendly and helpfull staff and very quiet. What more do you want?

A great, relaxing little place to stay in the heart of the hustle and bustle of el Centro in Merida. -Loved the top floor room overlooking calle 55 with the outdoor living area. -Pool area very nice to cool off in in the late afternoon. -Easily accessible to the main plaza as well as to several restaurants/bars/shops close by. Also...

A trip to Merida is not complete without a night or two at Luz. A tranquil oasis in the middle of a very vibrant city. Close to everything and the staff is just outstanding. Completely affordable, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.

My mother and I stayed here this past March. It's a perfect location for walking to all the main attractions right off Calle 60. The property was very clean, well kept, and owner and staff very helpful with any information needed. It is exactly what you see on their website, accomodating my mothers needs with changing our room to the...

Tom, who runs the property, was very helpful and easy to work with. We had a guide who was not arriving until about mid-night our first night there and Tom readily volunteered to stay up to let him in, show him where to park, etc. The rooms were quaint and typical, which was to our liking, but very comfortable. It...

We stayed recently at the Luz for a few nights in the Casita room. This is the one with the bedroom and entrance/bathroom separated by a balcony. There's not much I can say besides what others've already said about the hotel. In general, we enjoyed our stay here and the room was comfortable. We were welcomed with a couple of...
