The Luz has plenty of gushing, positive reviews, so it's probably unnecessary to just say the place is charming, relaxing, perfectly located, and offers a free liquor cart. What's more they floated me 102 pesos at checkout. I do intend to pay them back on my return.

My husband and I were at Luz in mid-December and had a great time. I had never been to Merida before and found that the location was perfect--not too close or far from the central plaza, just a few blocks away from a variety of restaurants and near a beautiful old church. We stayed in a standard room on the...

Beautiful building, friendly and trusting staff, complimentary liquor bar, comfy beds, wonderful showers, superb location. We only stayed a night, but I felt I could have spent the span of the entire at Luz en Yucatan.

Admittedly my experience at Luz might have been coloured by having a heavy cold when I arrived and acquiring a tummy bug about three days later, but I didn't find Luz to be the wonder place of many of the other reviews. Our room was upstairs, and spacious, but the hot water had us puzzled for a couple of days...

My partner and I had the pleasure of a four night stay at the Luz en Yucatan over Thanksgiving. We enjoyed ourselves in Merida immensely. The list of restaurants they give you is excellent. We ate at several and enjoyed them all. You can catch the double decker tour bus a half block away in front of the church and...

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. I chose it because of the great reviews on trip advisor. The hotel is located in the centre of mérida, great location to visit the main attractions. Mexican style rooms. No elevator so if you have lots of luggage and get a room upstairs it's not nice to carry all that weight through...

I have to say that our trip to Merida in August of 2011 was one of the most amazing adventures I have had in my life. When you vacation in any part of the world, if you are like my wife and I, you want to experience the feel and people of the city or country. As with Merida we...

Very cozy and romantic hotel. We had a beautiful room on the second floor overlooking the swimming pool. They have a cart with open bar which is awesome. I would definitely stay there second time. Do not hesitate to stay at this wonderful place. Also very convenient location right in the center of town.

One should only travel if one wants to experience whatt is unique and true about a locale. And that includes where one stays. This place delivers. The location is perfect, right next to the St. Lucia church, and a few blocks from the Grand Plaza. The breakfast joint across the street was delightful. Down the corner, a guy was selling...
