I love local high school nd boutique haciendas and the state is full of them. We stayed at the presidential suite which we found to be not only spacious but decorated with local furniture, arts and crafts in sync with the architecture of the hacienda. The gardens and chapel are lively and the restaurant was very good I highly recommend...

We had long heard of La Hacienda Xcanatun and we finally made a plan to visit for ten days in late February 2017. Merida is one of the safest and economically successful Mexican cities. Like other haciendas (former henequen - aka rope fiber -plantations) from roughly the 19th and early 20th centuries, La Hacienda Xcanatun had fallen on hard times...

While we have been on the property on many occasions we had never stayed overnight. As a very special birthday surprise I booked us in. From the front desk to all of the staff we encountered during our stay the Hacienda was wonderful. Jair was especially accomodating. The grounds are magnificent. Our accommodation was perfect in every detail. We enjoyed...

The Hacienda was beautiful, the food & service great at Casa de Piedra. It is a bit tricky to find. You drive through a small "neighborhood". Keep going past the soccer/ball field to the Casa de Piedra restaurant

We stayed here during a Yucatan road trip, and it was such a welcome retreat. The grounds are gorgeous, the room was spacious and lovely, and there were many extras such as a jacuzzi and hammock on our veranda, thick robes, and lots of space inside and out. Deluxe. The owners did a great job of renovating and adding onto...

Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive and informative review. We will certainly look into the room service issue, I imagine it had something to do with the fact we were fully booked, and the restaurant was full due to the holidays.

Any one who has come to the Yucatan and not stayed in a restored Hacienda, is missing a unique and amazing experience. Bless the individuals who have taken these historic properties and turned them into 5 star boutique hotels. We have stayed a three of the luxury group haciendas and they are amazing. But Xcanatun has become our favorite. This...

We stayed at Hacienda Xcanatun between Christmas and New Years. It was not our first choice for accommodations. It wasn't even in our top 10. It's located 10 minutes north of town, and was a bit pricier than we wanted, but there weren't many options that time of year. We're glad we ended up there after all. What a beautiful...

What a beautiful Hacienda, very quiet and relaxing with charm and authenticity. The restaurant is also excellent. The owners make it definitely "my home is your home" and do their best to ensure you have a comfortable stay. It's away from Merida city and a little out on it's own but hey, who needs to leave the place anyway? The...

Thank you for your lovely review...and I will certainly remind the waiters that tips are up to their level of service, and decided by the customer. They are not supposed to solicit them. House rules!

The hacienda is tucked in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful garden. It used to be a sisal mill and has been beautifully remodeled with a concern for authenticity. Our deluxe suite was huge and very private. The restaurant offers delicious local food and the service is excellent. Just remember that you need mosquitoes repellent if you venture in the...

Thank you very much for your kind review! We appreciate the positive comments you make. Unfortunately, even though we spray the grounds every day (with pyrethrums, nothing toxic), the price for having our lush garden is that when it rains, it is harder to control the mosquitoes. We have organic repellent available at the front desk at no cost. We...

This Hacienda was recommended to us by a local guy. My husband and I went there for lunch with our 9 month old baby, who fortunately slept through the meal. This place is nice. The ambiance is romantic and pristine and the food is pretty amazing. I had the best steak I'd had in many years. We didn't get a...
