After reading some of the reviews here on Trip Advisor, it was with some trepidation that I made a reservation for a week's stay here. But we got a great deal online and decided to roll the dice. I don't know about the rooms upstairs-- we stayed in #8, and then when there was a problem with the water, #6....

I thought my two decades of staying at the Posada Toledo came to an end last October but I returned in February to an improved environment. New air conditioners and a more thoughtful cleansing of the bathrooms. However the room floors remain somewhat ignored in their need for a good cleaning. My advise is to wear something on your feet....

I loved this charming hotel in the centre of Merida, near all the attractions and main square...it was truly hard to criticise its location. Great value for money but the rooms, while bursting with original colonial features and antiques, will not be to everyone's taste. Bathrooms are very basic, old fashioned and could be cleaner - the shower curtain in...

This hotel is just one block from Calle 60, and close to most of the museums and good restaurants. All the furniture in my roo was old hand carved hard wood. There was a lot of great furniture in th plaza of the hotel. Breakfast was included and the wifi was strong in all areas. price was very good.

The room was large, beds were comfy, terrace and patio were gorgeous, location is excellent. HOWEVER, there is no parking (and Mérida is tough to park in), the room was poorly furnished, there were issues with the bathroom (no hot water), staff was not pleasant nor helpful breakfast was meagre, and that's about it.

Very nice hotel! Clean, with history. Very good placed, near centrum. Breakfest included with your room is very poor, so you have to order more, but you have to pay for it. We did go for breakfest to close restaurant for cheaper and better breakfest.

The actual hotel structure is beautiful - though the rooms are not as nice and could do with a good cleaning. The hotel is still of OK quality and cheap for its location right in the centre. Easy access by car and on foot, with private pay-for parking within 10 metres of the hotel. The breakfast is extremely poor -...

My favorite hotel. Despite its' charm, central location, and wonderful staff I am forced to lower my excellent review from past years to a poor one. Friends and I stayed eight nights while touring to Maya ruins not seen before by us. There were days when we had no towels, no soap, no shampoo and worst of all no toilet...

Decided to stay here after reading reviews, Great place to stay for the money. It's not luxurious at all, but the old world charm is outstanding and very clean. Everyone is more than willing to help answer any questions you may have about the area. 10 minute walk to the downtown plaza. Would definitely stay again.

Adding to previous review. I met the manager who said he's had it under two years and it's a slow process updating everything. But he's trying. The main thing is the staff are great and it's very clean! It's located ten mins from the main square, all the main sites and there are literally the pick of places to eat....
