Please keep in mind that this is not a fancy resort type place. That being said, it is a clean, friendly hotel 1 block off of the beach. I went to Isla Mujeres with my 2 children (I'm female) and felt very safe. The hotel owners live downstairs in the hotel, and sit outside most of the day and evening...

Just came back from a week in Mexico, (first 4 days in Isla Mujeres)--two couples celebrating our 50th birthdays. We had read reviews of Hotel Osorio and a number of other places before we went to Isla Mujeres, but hadn't booked anything, thinking (rightly!), that we'd be able to get something when we got there. We checked into a hotel...

“They are all pretty similar but the ones on the street mean you have a small balcony area where you can sit. Osorio is small and built around a central open courtyard so no room is much noisier or quieter than others.”

“I like the rooms on the top floor at the front. They have a good breeze and a view of the street. However it can be a bit noisy, If you want more quiet, choose a room at the back and if you have a problem with stairs take one on the ground floor. No elevator.”
