We have not been there in December. it has always been waves when we have been there. Have been told sea is only calm on east side during a norté which only happens during the winter months. So not many days of calm seas at ventanas. However Punta sur is a 20 minute drive south with calm water and good snorkeling most of the time. We love the east side and choose to stay there as much as possible.
