Local Character - See the way of life - Chance to escape the tourist crowds - Be part of the environment not an intrusion. Tamarindo gives you exactly this option. Located in the heart of San Miguel a newly constructed two story complex that integrates with the local surroundings. From your room you look out onto a spacious courtyard with...

My daughter and I stayed at the Tamarindo for seven nights in late March. The rooms were clean with working televsions, and plenty of hot water in the shower..Important things for moms with 17 year olds... The breakfasts on the terrace were spot on and always ready when you came out.Every morning my daughter would urge me to get up and...

We had an amazing 7 night stay at the Tamarindo from Feb 7-14 2007. Eliane was a wonderful hostess, we met some great people, in fact we liked all the other people who were staying there when we were there. We snorkeled everyday except the day we went to Playa Del Carmen when we just shopped and swam. Eliane helped...

This place is a gem! The lovely hostess went above and beyond in making sure all our needs were met. The rooms are all unique and absolutely charming, amazing architecture and design touches, and bargain prices! Great breakfast too! The other place she runs in Cozumel is a gem too, more of a house type place with several units with...

This is not luxury, but quaint, fun and fantastic for the price. Our first night was in the un-airconditioned Palapa Room ($30/night). It was a hot July night with a ceiling fan and an oscilating fan. It would have been fine if the weather was not so hot. Only one window is screened and we just burnt up. Fortunately, there...

Admittedly my wife and I prefer B&B's, but we were still delighted by the Tamarindo. Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor whitewashed patio with a view. Eliane is gracious and perceptive host, who can anticipate a guest's needs after just a brief chat. We stayed three nights in the Palapa Room, with the traditional wood beam and palm leaf...

If your looking for luxury, this is not the place to go but if you are looking for a quaint, relaxing and affordable place, this is it. The breakfast was great! It's walking distance from the downtown but you're not right in the middle so it's a nice getaway. The room is clean and good to sleep in. The little...

There are so many rave reviews about this place that I chose it for our recent stay in Cozumel. Have to be honest and say that I was quite disappointed. While Eliane is a very friendly and helpful person, the accomodations weren't that great. I guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" really applies here. If you...

My husband and I visited Cozumel in May 2006. We chose to stay at the Tamarindo based on reviews from previous visitors. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. We stayed in the garden room with ac. The room was immaculate and there was minimal to no noise anytime we were in the room. We have stayed at nice hotels and...

We stayed at the Tamarindo for a week in the palapa. The palapa was really big (and comfortable) for the value (1 queen bed, one couch, one small bed and a hammock). No A/C but an amazingly efficient fan. Our Palapa was cleaned every day. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly and have great tips on local, less touristy...
