We stayed for a week Jan/17.The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no WiFi in the rooms, only around the lobby. It's at best, hit and miss. The room was very dated. The furniture was old and rickety.Looks like a cheap hotel scene from Miami Vice. There is only 2 restaurants.1 buffet,1 a- la-carte.The food was very boring, repetitive and bland. The pools are nice and...

Our family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers) stayed at El Cozumeleno for a week. We had an overall good stay but we were disappointed. There were some good things and like other reviewers we appreciated the great service, the cleanliness of the hotel and surroundings, the view from the balcony and the private beach. When the weather was...

This resort was lacking in so many ways....the beds were very very uncomfortable, the rooms were run down and old, the food was barely edible or warm, unless you were eating salad or fruit, it was almost impossible to get a dinner table reservation in the Verande restaurant unless you were waiting in line before 7:30am for them to open...

We have been to this resort several times and we will continue to go back! It is safe, clean, and the staff is fantastic. We appreciated Fernando's knowledge of the island and hard work, Angel's kindness in working with kids, and Sergio and the other servers wonderful service. Snorkeling on site is a big bonus for our family. The only...

Great view of the ocean from room. Very nice hotel but the fact that you had to return your towels every evening by 7pm or be charged $20 was rediculous. They do not make this clear and I don't even know if it's $20 per towel or per room. I only found out about this charge from another guest and...

We enjoyed our stay here. We had a large room with a lovely view. There was plenty of storage and drawer space so we could unpack for the week (thankfully). The room was kept sparking clean and we didn't want for anything. The hotel provides one bottle of water in room each day - an added bonus. There were lots...

Our stay at the el Cozumeleno was nothing special. Outside of the hotel staff for the most part were good. The facility lacks care, maintenance, and that they are taking care and cleaning the public facilities. The swim bar was a huge disappointment as the smell from it kept most people away. The rooms in the north tower need major...

Very nice place if your looking for a peaceful, safe place to vacation and escape Winter. Plenty of activity and good food/. Great tacos. Shopping only a short $10 cab ride away. No waiting for a cab, was always 1 or 2 waiting in the cab line.

The staff is wonderful they could not be nicer and helpful...there one exception, the man with white glasses that is responsible for making dinner reservations for the restaurant. He quite simply was rude ! He thought he was all powerful, stand closer,, dress to impress ! Shouting orders to those of us who were required to line up at 8:00...

The hotel is nice but left a few things lacking: 1. The pools were cold. Too cold to swim in. 2. The "toys" floating in the water on the photos were non-existent. The kids were disappointed. 3. We ordered food and it took 90 minutes to arrive. The girls next to us sat down and had their food in 15...
