Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive garners mixed reviews, with guests applauding its vibrant atmosphere and prime location near beaches and local activities. While the staff and food often receive high marks, issues such as neglected pool facilities and the need for renovation dampen the experience for some. Room opinions are divided, highlighting comfort and views but marred by cleanliness concerns and design problems. Additionally, the service inconsistency and perceived lack of value due to overpricing and hidden costs have been points of contention for many travelers.

Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive is a wonderful resort on Cozumel's southwestern shore, perfect for families, couples, and friends. The location is ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling, with easy access to some of Mexico's best underwater spots.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, with many offering stunning ocean views and private balconies. For an extra touch of luxury, book a room with a private pool—spacious, heated, and equipped with four lounge sun chairs.
Dining is a highlight, thanks to Chef Jose Luis Pinilla and bakery chef Rolando Mendez. Chef Mendez's Rosca de Reyes was a visual and culinary delight, and his custom turtle dessert chocolate masterpiece was a memorable treat. The coffee shop, managed by Srlene, serves the best cappuccinos and lattes, with options to add Baileys or Frangelico.
The vacation planners, Pamela and Ana, provide excellent service, and the beachside cook's chicken wings and nachos are a hit. The pool bar staff are friendly and attentive, making your stay even more enjoyable.
For explorers, bring your snorkel kit. The hotel's beach offers fantastic snorkeling, and private boat tours to Cielo, Cielito, Colombia, Bacalar, and Palancar are highly recommended.
However, there's room for improvement. The hotel needs dramatic upgrades, including a better sewer system, improved irrigation, fewer leaks on the first floor, and taller ceilings.
Overall, Fiesta Americana Cozumel All Inclusive offers a blend of relaxation, adventure, and exceptional service, despite needing some updates.

Great place to stay. Beware or the pool, floor is broken and dangerous for injuries. Pool doesnt seem very clean either. All services were good. Great staff and cleanliness. Some problems with reservations for dinner, but we had other easy options.

This was our third time visiting the resort as Fiesta Americana Rewards Members. First time that we ever booked the Presidential Suite as we brought a couple of guests with us. Overall it was a fantastic experience that reminded us why we keep coming back. Disappointed that the main pool was not open during our stay but totally understand the need to renovate for the future health of the resort. Heads up for people headed there in the coming weeks, the pool looks to be almost complete. In fact we heard there may be water in it within the next week or so.

Pros
-The staff here continues to go above and beyond to do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. Special shout-outs to Martin for help with our bags upon checking in and departing, Lucio for continuing to do everything he can to help us each stay, Javier for remembering all our drink orders from the previous night's dinner, and all the servers and bartenders that kept our drinks full. One last special shout out to Alexzy for the tip on the proper way to do a Tequila shot!
-Suite was clean upon arrival and kept that way throughout our stay.
-The Presidential Suite welcome package was stunning. Picture attached. 5 bottles of high quality top shelf liquor. Small downfall was that we had to purchase extra bottles for about $50 USD.
-Jacuzzi was filled and warm upon arrival. Jets worked great. Could use some maintenance on the tile work.
-Food quality remains high in Rosa and Peninsula. We did not go to the Mexican restaurant.
-Oceanside part of the resort is open. Our previous two times it was closed so we were THRILLED it was open. Ceviche restaurant was great.
-We booked a snorkeling tour from Cozumel Cruise tours and they pick you up right at the dock on resort! So no need to travel into town.

Cons
-No way to reserve a day bed as a reward clubs member. First come first serve and most taken by 8:00 am.
-Booking the Presidential Suite was supposed to come with a private dinner party with a special Chefs Menu. This was not offered, though we did get an upgrade at dinner one night for free filet and shrimp.
-Notice of the main pool being closed was not communicated until two weeks before our stay (We booked in August 2024). The alternate pool by the Gulf is very nice but also very small and cannot accommodate all guests. We ended up doing a day pass to Paradise Beach club (10 minute can ride) so we got a traditional pool outing and some water activities.

Overall we look forward to our next time back and highly recommend Fiesta Americana Cozumel. This resort should not be considered as a place where a lot of activities are conducted other than some daily programs and snorkeling on site. If you're looking for a moderately priced resort with great food and service in a relaxing environment you will not be disappointed!

Myself and six close friends went for a birthday celebration. We did not get to pick the resort. It was decided among the group to all stay in a 3 bedroom family suite. The room was pretty spacious and easily fit 7 adults. The best part was having 4 full bathrooms! From the very beginning the room had a musty smell, which on an island I wasn't too surprised. The AC actually cooled our rooms and common area. The mini fridges were minimally stocked, but would get restocked everyday with whatever was missing. The "jacuzzi" was pretty much a bathtub and didn't really have water hot enough to make it worth filling. There isn't much information or photos of the three bedroom family suite, so I took a bunch for your viewing pleasure.
The resort itself is a bit dated, but I think that's because they are dumping so much money into renovating the beach club across the street, once that opens it will add a whole new level! Just as most of the reviews have commented, there are missing tiles in the pool. Of the 7 of us, 2 people sustained large lacerations on the feet or or toes. I highly suggest wearing water shoes/socks. There is only ONE functioning bar in the whole resort, which is insane for an all-inclusive. Be patient with the waiters and bartenders cause they are swamped at all times. The breakfast buffet was pretty much the same every day, good variety overall. The restaurants (non buffet) on site are reservation only and do not accommodate many people, so we did not get to try them out. Also, remember it is a family friend resort. Even though there is a kids designated pool section, they tend to wander out and do all the annoying kid things in the adult area. Is what it is.
Overall the resort served the purpose of hosting everyone for my friend's birthday party. Would we go back, probably not. Would we recommend it, not likely. But did we make some great memories, absolutely!

Thank you for sharing your detailed review of Fiesta Americana Cozumel. It seems like you and your friends had a mixed experience, with both positives and negatives. It's great to hear that the room was spacious and accommodated all of you comfortably. However, the musty smell and dated aspects of the resort were noted. Your feedback on the pool safety and limited amenities such as bars and restaurants is valuable. It's good to know that the breakfast buffet was satisfactory. It's also important to highlight the family-friendly environment with children possibly crossing into adult areas. Overall, it sounds like the resort met your basic needs for the birthday celebration, but there were several areas that could be improved.

It was our fifth visit to this hotel since 2018, sincerely it was my favorite hotel for the experience it gives you.
My partner and I have been to quite a few hotels all inclusive, but the service and attention was what characterized this hotel as the best.
Unfortunately, this visit was not so.
The quality of the service is not the same as before, the reception is very bad, the check in was express and the receptionists looked like they were doing you the favor of registering.
At the cevicheria restaurant, they don’t attend to you immediately, the waiters cute, but because I was talking several times I had to stop to ask them for things since they didn’t approach or attend when you tried to call them.
Dinner in the specialty restaurants the opposite service, are extremely attentive and helpful. Especially in Mexican.
The main pool has too many broken Venetians, which caused me two large cuts in my foot, making me uncomfortable my whole stay.
And the straw that spilled the glass was that at check out we witnessed a hurricane, so it was not possible to leave the island.
So we asked for a complimentary late check out, which gave us an extra hour and a half to be in the room, which we were grateful for as we decided where to go.
When we delivered the room we told them that we would leave until 4:00pm. Which we were told if so we had to pay 1800 pesos to continue using the facilities (which was nothing more than a makeshift buffet inside) there was no restaurant or beach bars or lobby for the hurricane.
The only thing we asked to be left as the rain and air followed.
His answer was, "for you must pay if you want to stay."
Our annoyance was that in all previous visits we were let out until 5:00 pm without any problems if we needed to. In addition, we were NOT informed of this new rule at check-in, or when requesting late check-out for the emergency situation.
The receptionist even laughed and commented "this rule has always been staged".
The worst thing that the manager was walking around the areas the day before and said that being an extraordinary situation (the hurricane) guests would be given facilities... But the mere day happened to be no manager...
Anyway, we are left with very bad taste in our mouths, in addition to other issues of membership.
Oh, and by the way, they don't lend you snorkeling or fins like before, which was a bonus.
The one that always spectacular, is the bartender Juanito! It's always a pleasure to see him and talk to him. We love your service and charisma.

This is a hotel to avoid unless you're looking for a very poor experience and don't mind a 2-Star experience.

We booked a suite with a plunge pool. The pool couldn't be used for the first two days because it wasn't clean and despite asking for it to be cleaned 4 times, it was only done properly on the 3rd day. Just swimming with dead bugs and the room was also filled with dead bugs all in the shower and all across the windows. Clearly, it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time.

The wider hotel is generally run down and in need of modernisation. The worst part of the hotel is management, which is nonexistent. The General Manager (Walter Cordova) won't speak to guests, they are too busy, and in compensation for the awful service, they offered basic resort credit (for an all-inclusive resort).

The wider staff try very hard and are really pleasant and nice people. But if you have a problem, don't expect any resolution as management is non-existent.

Please see the pictures which include a cockroach running around the Asian restaurant, dead flies in the shower, and rusty curtian pool that went into my hand.

My fiancée and myself stayed here November 19-23 and had a very good time. I was nervous after reading some of the reviews and wasn't sure what to expect but as usual the negative reviews were extremely overblown.

Food/Bars: The food was very good in my opinion, the breakfast buffet had a good selection and also had an omelet bar each morning. We enjoyed the food at the Mexican restaurant the best for dinner but the Italian and Asian restaurants were also good. We did not indulge in any room service. The drinks from the coffee bar were also quite good.

Room: We were placed on the top floor (7th) in a 2 room suite which was very nice and comfortable. We had 2 full bathrooms and a double balcony with amazing ocean views, any beers you use out of the mini fridge are replaced the next day which is a nice added feature (Sol and Tecate Light).

Pool/Beach: The pool is certainly missing some tiles like some reviews said but it's no big deal. The bigger issue I think is that the filters do not work so after they clean the pool in the morning it gets filled with bugs and you are just kind of wading through them. Good service at the pool bar. I would say that we have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and have never really noticed the kids but at this place we definitely did. I was trying to sit at the pool bar and have a drink and had kids having a splash fight behind me or had kids jumping off the open bar stool next to me and doing cannon balls. Not the biggest deal in the world but again the kids were very noticeable. It looked as if they were doing some work on the beach but it was still not officially open. We did go over and hang out there most days though because it was much quieter and had great views and snorkeling. You can throw a couple towels down in the day beds or bring a regular chair over and sit out, we really enjoyed it. There are also steps going down into the water if you don't want to jump in off the day bed. If you are going to spend a lot of time over there I would suggest packing a little collapsible cooler so you can put the 4 beers from your fridge in there and take those over for the day, the lobby bar is also only about a 30 second walk too. BRING YOUR TUMBLER, that was my one rookie mistake and the drinks do melt or get warm pretty quickly in the sun. They wanted 52 USD for one in the gift shop.

There is really only the one bar in the lobby and not much in terms of nigh life which was fine with us, they do have different events going on in the lobby each night. The casino night was a lot of fun but again it's just the one bar.

It really is a beautiful island and I would suggest getting out and exploring. The island runs on the cruise ship schedule so when the ships pull in everything opens up and when the ships leave everything closes down. We did a bar hop to the other side of the island which I would recommend.

This location has been a destination of mine for nearly a decade. Arturo has been there that entire time. I met him and immediately realized this place would be a second home. He makes every single visit for every person we bring, an unforgettable adventure. He can single-handedly make sure your visit is worth its weight in gold. From there I met the evening bartender (Juan) the daytime bartender (Henry) and they are attentive, fun and warm which is a lot to be said for some all inclusive resorts. Alejandra always made sure we had a great table for our (LARGE) group to eat and enjoy each evening. Around the pool Aaron has been there for a long time as well and always very attentive. Miguel, Henry, Angel and Edwin all had a great impact on our stay this week as well. Luis was my concierge and made it easy to book the spa, informed us about potential outings and checked in on us daily to make sure we were happy. Iveta is always informative and supportive around my membership (tells you how much I love this place!) Nearly a decade to this resort and I feel like the staff is nearly family at this point. They're continuous so that speaks to the retention of the resort and the snorkeling / diving is out of this world. (If you need to find someone for diving, ask around for "Rocky" he is the absolute best but not affiliated with this resort I don't believe.) This is a quiet and small resort that you can still have fun at. With never ending views and perfect snorkeling right off the resort it is a place that once you go, you will always come back!

The Good:
The service was excellent - every staff member was helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure you were satisfied. Overall the resort was beautiful. The location is perfect for activities including snorkeling. Right across the street from the hotel you can enter the water and snorkel. We saw lionfish, stingrays, barracuda, snapper, sea cucumber, big snails, tons of beautiful coral, and more. All of this could be found under the pier and the beach club area. It was in close proximity to the Money Bar down the street which was excellent for different food than what the resort offered. Room service was prompt and they always brought us extra water. There were complaints about pool tiles being missing but when we were there, workers were repairing them and filling in missing grout. It wasn't an issue at all.
The Bad:
We knew before we got there that the beach club was closed. However, advertisements showed pictures of it being open - they should be taken down. Our room was OK but the A/C could barely keep up and leaked. They may have it limited on purpose. It was difficult to get a reservation for dinner so you better reserve well in advance. However, many times you could just go up to the hostess and they would find a seat/table. The buffet area was open to the outside, so there were birds that would just come in and pester you. You could not leave your food out or they would try and eat it. The birds would crawl on some of the exposed foot like cheese slices and bread. We never ate anything that wasn't covered. Sometimes the workers would clap to scare them off but it was a problem.

Overall: Nice all inclusive resort with open air environment and great food. Older American and Mexican crowd with a few children. The sea is very blue and clear with rich sea life. Always found a chair or beach bed by the beach or pool. Nice spa with massages and treatments. some entertainment every night.

Dining & Drinks: The formal restaurants were all very good (Italian, Mexican and Asian) with excellent service, quality food and free flow of drinks. Christian served us two different nights in the Italian Restaurant, was very knowledgeable and kept our wine glasses full. There is a quaint Cevicheria on the beach with ceviche and fish tacos. Great service from Edwin with attentive service and good knowledge. The Vente del Mar buffet is also on the beach with a nice selections of Mexican and American items in an open air environment with a made to order quesadilla station. Gabriel A. took great care of us there with frequent coffee refills, lots of mimosas and other drinks. There is also a nice coffee shop and a sushi bar and a snack bar - plenty of options. There was no upselling. Service at all was outstanding. The attentive staff do appreciate tips. Finally drink service and food) at the main pool was really, really good. Miguel took care of us every day and was really good about keeping us supplied with drinks and making us laugh.

Rooms; Spacious, Mexican style rooms with Ocean view and nice patio. Not luxurious but comfortable. Maid service was good. Hot water was lukewarm.

Service: Staff was five stars, great English, knowledgeable and always available to help.

Negatives (all minor): drinks are watered down (but they will bring you a shot on the side). The beach is just rocks, no waves or sandy beach. Resort is somewhat isolated and quiet.

Is there wi-fi in the rooms?

Hi Janes! Yes we have wifi in all the rooms and areas.

Beach side is open and the restaurant. There is a bathroom that can be accessed through the restaurant (open dining) There is also a burger shack that was open when we were there. We did not have to pay the hotel to be picked up at the hotel dock, but the boat capt. charged a small fee $10 as I recall. Even if the hotel is not listed in the usual pick ups, call the vendor and they will accommodate you.
