We returned for a second visit to the Gran Caribe, after visiting last year. This is a family oriented resort with exceptional service, fantastic beach access, and lovely rooms. We recently returned from a week at GRC. We have been members for about 5 years, and that is our biggest complaint about this resort. It seems that once they have you you are no longer treated with the same consideration as the non member guests that they are trying to reel in. I upgraded our room to 6th floor...

First off, this is NOT our first time to Mexico. We have been 9 times, and love it!! We have stayed at a different place every time, and have never had a bad time - EVER!! Well, that sure changed. We arrived today traveling with 2 childern, 3 and 5 yrs old. The two double bed junior suite we booked at the hotel's website was not available. No big deal as far as the desk is concerned. Ok let me start by saying that this was my 4th time back to Gran Caribe and already I have booked for August! The great thing about this hotel is the staff, everybody always makes you feel so welcome,. Charlie is the best bar man, very funny and always happy! All the waitresses are very polite and will recomend different...

Overall a bit disappointing. Our room was beautiful, views spectacular, and the staff was very accomodating. However, the dining experience was disturbing. By day 3 we were hoarding bananas and boxes of fruitloops from the buffet for later. This resort has the potential to be great but falls short with it's poor dining.

The hotel has a large structure and has highly qualified professionals. The beach is great and you can make delicious drinks throughout the day. The spa service is also great. Recommend.
