Krystal Grand Cancún All Inclusive garners praise for its prime location, close to pristine beaches and bustling nightlife. While the hotel's service is often lauded for being attentive, some guests have encountered slow service, particularly in restaurants. The cleanliness of the rooms and public areas generally impresses, but a few visitors have pointed out occasional housekeeping lapses. Opinions on the atmosphere are divided; some enjoy the lively vibe, while others find it noisy. Room experiences vary, with great views and cleanliness balanced against some maintenance issues. Travelers appreciate the beach and inclusive amenities, though concerns are raised about value, citing extra costs and limited dining options.

We just returned from our honeymoon at Krystal and let me tell you about the amazing time we had! First, anyone who just got married knows you're on a budget, so if you are looking for the Ritz, this is not it. But it is cute and comfortable. Go visit with Modesto and Henry at the pool side bar, they are the best! Don't fall for the free breakfast - First, spring for the all inclusive, it is well worth the money! Check out the taco stand for the best tacos! Enjoy your stay!

The beach location for Reflect in Cancun is wonderful. It's near the end of the hotel strip with a protected little cove that allows you to enjoy the wam waters without getting beat up by the waves. The staff does a great job of maintaining the beach (even though most of it is public). We walked along the beach of the other neighboring hotels and were shocked by all the garbage and seaweed that was there. So by far, I give this 5 stars for location and beach.

Now, on to the rooms. If at all possible, I recommend avoiding the rooms in the main tower. All the room doors face the center of the building which is open below to an atrium of sorts. The noise was terrible coming into the room at night when trying to sleep or even to take a mid-day nap. I also found the mattress to be very firm and uncomfortable. If you can swing the higher price, go for the Altitude rooms in the newer tower next door (the round one). You will pay a little more, however the rooms are so much nicer (and newer). All the dinning, except for the buffet, was very nice (we tried them all). Nearly all our food was very good, and we enjoyed it. The buffet is on the bland side and I found it hard to find items that tasted good and fresh.

Evidently they have an app to use while staying at the resort. Unfortunately we didn't find this out until after we returned home from our trip. Explains why we had a hard time finding out about the various activities.

Be fore-warned that they will try to sell you their vacation club. Just say no if you don't want to do it or it's too costly for you. They can be pushy.

Oh, and be sure to consider tipping the staff that takes good care of you. They make very little money and we certainly live a good life if we can afford to vacation there. I typically did one USD for each drink and $5 to $20 for dining. Also left $5 USD in our room each day for our daily housekeeper. Of course this isn't required, however it is a nice gesture if you can swing it. Pro tip: Before leaving for Mexico, go to the bank get a bunch of smaller bills to give out. Otherwise you'll be charged an exchange rate if you wait until you get there. We found that everyone seemed to be happy accepting USD.

We had a fantastic week with our two college age boys. The location was perfect at the northern tip of Cancun, with a wide beautiful beach alongside a jetty that didn't see as much foot traffic as other areas to our south. After a short scenic walk along the water to our neighboring hotel, we were able to charter a wonderful boat ride to the island of Mujeres for a memorable day. (See Rene at EpicWaterToys for info.)

Food and drinks were part of an all inclusive package. The food was pretty good and authentic. There were plenty of choices and you definitely should take advantage of the Mexican restaurant "Hacienda el Mortero" which has a lot of character, margaritas as big as your head, wonderful food, and live music. The Japanese steakhouse is a great option, but you need to be ready to camp out at 3pm to get a reservation for the hibachi grill.

The rooms were nice enough and we had a decent water view both to the north and east. Our first impression was that the place seemed a bit older with need for some repairs and paint in the rooms and stairwell. The elevators were slow and sometimes not working, so we used the stairs whenever possible. Not a major issue, but we were put off by our greeter, Roberto who was pushing us to sign up for a time share presentation. Rather than get valuable info for a pleasant stay for the week, we were made to feel uncomfortable and that we should avoid him or he'd try to sell us on spas and other amenities that we wanted nothing to do with. On the flip side, we absolutely loved one of the bartenders named Geovani at the Lounge Bar off the lobby. He went out of his way to make special drinks for us each day based on our preferences. We enjoyed stopping by his bar each night before dinner or for a nightcap.

A fairly complete review of the resort.

This is not my first time to a resorts and I've had quite a bit of experience traveling overall.

the check-in process was fine they were really quite busy when we started but got through everybody in a timely enough manner.

We got to our room and our bags showed up quite soon after. I believe we had one of the worst rooms in the resort. I say that simply because our room was on the first floor non ocean view and really when looking out our window we had for white walls to look at. It was a basic room with a single kingsize bed. It didn't really affect us as we weren't in the room that much.

sing how as that's what we paid for we were a little disappointed by our room view but we weren't willing to pay for an upgrade so we made the most of it plus being on the first floor it's only one level of stairs before so we can skip the elevator if needed. But otherwise I think the room with health was fine very clean everyday no bugs not a new mattress but not a bad mattress things are restocked overall fairly well I'm cleaned everyday as it should be. It did seem to struggle to get to a cold SC temp...but was generally just good enough not to cause sleep issues.

Main restaurants are a little disappointing except for the grill the other ones the Japanese restaurant Andy Italian restaurant have mediocre fare. It was acceptable but nothing really special. The grill restaurant and the main buffet always had enough to get full on.

The main pool was always busy a same the typical saving Beach chair practice was in effect, although we usually went later in the day and didn't have issues.

Main bar evening staff are all newer and are working their butts off and seem to have a genuine great time with the guests. Fredi is an amazing bartender, and his support staff Julio and Ernesto are a great trip. Loads of fun and always happy to see you.

Basic tipping and courtesy go along way with them and all staff.

The staff in all the restaurants bars and resort wide are very hard working. The resort is clean everywhere, and we were never asked for a tip or upgrade charge for anything. And it seems only management need to work on a few things to make it great.

One negative was the offer to see another resort and take their ,90 min presentation for 200usd money to spend on the resort. It's basically their version of a timeshare speel which I think they'd offer their mother if It made the deal happen. Up to you if it's worth your time for the spending money.

We ( Hubby daughter and I ) stayed here with my parents (76 and 79 yrs old) over the holidays.  The original tower of the hotel is a bit dated and you will need to arm yourself with patience for the elevators if you are traveling during the peak season... having said that, I think that this is a great property, especially for Seniors.  The hotel is compact and has elevator access so it makes it very easy to navigate for anybody that cannot walk long distances or does not want to be waiting for golf carts to move them around a massive resort.  Food is slightly limited in variety but very good in taste and the Turkey on New Year's Eve was spectacular.  While the hotel could use a good change of furniture, an overall update and more decoration, especially inside rooms, but when you consider the rate, the location and the SPECTACULAR view...it's definitely a good option. Other hotels in Cancun with comparable facilities and no view cost double!  To top it all off, the staff is VERY friendly and they took care of my parents and of us all.  I want to send a special shout out to Alvaro from the pool area who spoiled us rotten with drinks and ceviche every day!  Gracias Don Alvaro!
We would totally stay here again, especially for New Year's!  Best fireworks show in Town!  The fireworks over the hotel zone and downtown lasted almost 20 minutes and we enjoyed it all from the comfort of our balcony!

In fairness, I want to disclose that I stayed at this hotel under some extremely unusual circumstances. We came to Cancun for a 3 week vacation just before Covid-19 hit and decided to stay when airports started to feel like scary places to visit. When the hotel that we were staying in announced that it would be closing, we were transferred to Relfect. We came from a resort that is larger, has more amenities, is higher end, and is really overall nicer. However, when you consider the price difference, Refelct is actually a great value for the price. There are some real hiughlights. The location is beautiful and the beach is absolutely stunning. The ocean in from of the resort is protected by a break wall and that makes for a clam and crystal clear section of water, it’s perfect for floating around in. The service on the beach is fast, and friendly. The food in the Italian restaurant is fabulous. The bartender at the swim up bar has a great personality and makes great drinks. Although, we came to this resort by accident, especially given the price, I do highly recommend.

Most of the staff is great S/O to Eduardo (adult pool) , Alejandro (spa) & Laura ( spa massage therapist). Property is a 2 stars at best. Mold in the spa showers, uncomfortable beds, uncomfortable rusted balcony chairs & peeling paint outside on the buildings. The rooms have no drawer space, no hooks in the bathroom to hang your towels also a robe or clothes on And the roughest toilet paper I have ever experienced in my life. I ask for a firm mattress, instead of switching the mattress from another room they put extra blankets on the bed under the sheets. No the hotel was not full, so this could have easily been done.

My 1st spa treatment, I actually stopped her in the process and got up off the table because it was so it was so bad. My second spa treatment was with Laura and was much better, But because the shower wasn't really clean I did not use it or the dry sauna wasn't sure how clean that really was. Oh and there's no receptacle to put your dirty towels or robe in once you've used them. If you think you're going to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sound of the ocean...think again, all you're going to hear is the roaring sound of the AC units on top of the adjacent building on the property

The food is not bad but it definitely isn't great it's just life sustaining. Our group had a catered event and the chicken had a mystery sauce on top of it and was rubbery, the salmon was overcooked and not seasoned very well, the birthday cake had no taste, after the 1st bite people either spit it out or just didn't eat anymore of it.

They tell you get $200 resort credit which is cool but you can only use it the way they want you to use them. Our room also came with a free cabana for the day, however you could only get the cabanas that were by the beach grill behind the other beach cabanas with a obstructed view of the ocean, and imagine how you're going to smell sitting at the grill all day. Even though no one had rented the other cabanas near the rest of our party (it was the rules and they couldn't be broken) even though we came in with at least 58 people for no less than 5 days.

Food was great, the hotel was impeccable. Night cleaning crews were literally on their hands and knees with a scraper making sure the floors were spotless in our altitude building and the main building every night. If I could remember the man's name I would mention him here.

Front desk in altitude building were extremely friendly and were great with English. (Again would mention a name if I could remember, I was afterall on vacation)

Jahir (bartender in altitude bar) gets a special shout out from me for being a perfect bartender and an all around great guy.

Andres, Renne, and other guys and girls from the outdoor entertainment staff were a blast. They made the volleyball and water sports super fun.

Also the gentlemen working the bar at the lounge just off the main lobby were extremely nice and helpful. We made friends during our stay, we had a group of about 15 on that lounge deck almost evernight and they kept up with our needy requests quite easily.

Only thing in would reccomend is 2 more beach staff, more chairs and a few more canopys. I belive these small expenses would go a long way with people comfort and service.(although I am not complaining about the service at all. It was very impressive)

All in all I highly recommend reflect Cancun and spa and the extra money you pay for the altitude tower goes a long long way.. trust me !

Food is great. Staff is great. Location is perfect.

We will be back !

Stayed for 10 days in the Altitude tower the room was great and clean. The staff are very kind and helpful. Monica Irabien (concierge) and Monique were so kind. If you choose this hotel make sure you go to the spa, Carolina gives the best relaxation massage, and Maria gives the best pedicures. Pedro and Mario at the LT lounge bar are the best we cannot say enough about the service we received from Pedro, he is very friendly and knows what good customer services is really about. Willy at the Risotto restaurant made our meal very enjoyable. Enrique at the Grill restaurant was another great server. The room service menu was so good and had a lot of options. If you go to the Grill there is a separate menu that you will have to pay for if you have the opportunity try the steaks, lobster and shrimp from this menu it was phenomenal. The web site says there is a mini bar in the rooms but there was not one in the room we stayed in but not really a big deal. The bar in the altitude tower has the best drinks. The air conditioning in the rooms works really well but the lobbies in both tower can have better air conditioning.

Upon check-in - it was over an hour wait with two employees only working the front desk and the AC was not working. It was extremely hot and uncomfortable. Only one elevator was working during our whole stay.

They were grossly persistent with the timeshare. We had just arrived and were exhausted, so we wanted to book our dinner reservation instead they proceeded to misinform us for about 30 minutes. Took such a long time to find the actual concierge desk because they kept misdirecting us to other vendors. The tower in which it was located had no functioning AC. They continued to harass us daily and insisted they only wanted 90 minutes of our time after we repeatedly said we were not interested in this. Not to mention they called our room and continued to harass us.

The ocean view of the room was great. However, we weren't given enough bath towels and pools had to call twice to receive them, but they never came. The room's bathroom had a bit of mold and an odor. Just did not seem very clean.

The next day when they cleaned the room, they took all our towels and we again had to call twice to request more, and we mentioned we had requested additional the prior day to no avail. Eventually we got tired of waiting and had to go to the front desk to receive them.

The walls are pretty thin so it's pretty noisy.

The keys stopped working and we had to wait in line to replace them.

They were not helpful with the COVID testing at all and we had to go elsewhere for it. They promote free testing if you stay 3+ nights, but will charge for children.

The buffet had somewhat of a variety but rather bland. The drinks are watered down. In order to get dinner reservations, you must wake up really early to do them. They do charge a fee for room service and not everything in the mini bar is free - despite having paid for all inclusive.

The servers are very polite and helpful.

The checkout was the same process with only two individuals working the front desk. Despite it all Luani was very helpful with this process.

The hotel location was good but this place is in dire need of renovation and keeping up with maintenance.
