We arrived without a booking very early in the morning, they managed to get a room clean and ready for us about 8.30am which was good. The manager seems very friendly and always wanting to help. Because we had a shared bathroom, they took us to the other building over the road. Still decent enough. Breakfast is pretty good, you...

We found this place via Lonley Palnet. Went there to check it out. The person we talked to even not opened the gate and was unpolite to us. Bad feeling. Not helpful at all. I had some problem to solve and could not count on this "amazing people". Too much Lonley Planet fame, I guess. Luckily there are other good...

Taking the time to share our wonderful experience with this hostel because reviews are a gift to people searching for a place to stay as well as hotel owners that take pride in what they do. We arrived later that night than we had expected (12:30am), worried that there'd be no one awake to greet us when we pulled up...

I stayed here in late November 2014 with my girlfriend. It was a great value for our 2 night stay. Accommodations were basic but clean. It was also very cold in San Cristobel for our stay and we were provided with plenty of blankets. The owners were very friendly. When we had to leave very early on the last day...

A great bare bones option in San Cristobal - 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. There are two buidlings and the main building is definitely a better option (though you don't always have a choice - for the first night at least). The other rooms are a bit dim and less access to light. It's clean, hot water takes awhile,...

This affordable hostel is really well located & the managers, Denny & his wife, are incredibly helpful. The hostel is a great launching spot for the many attractions around SC & Denny makes booking etc really easy. The rooms are quite old & basic. While secure, the metal bolts on doors everywhere & concrete walls & floors mean you hear...

My partner and I booked a room at this so called bed and breakfast through trip advisor and when we booked we specifically required a room to be ready since we were arriving at four in the morning. The owner messaged us back and confirm both the reservation and our requests. San Cristobal is a pretty chilly place at night...

This is a great choice for budget travelers. Denis, his wife and staff made us feel very welcome from reception until check-out. The rooms are sparsely furnished but the bed was comfortable and the extra blankets much appreciated at night. The room was clean but some paint and minor bathroom repair would really improve the room. The shower curtains are...

Stayed here for a couple nights while wondering the city. The staff is super helpful and you can book your ADO bus tickets here if you want (the guy who runs it spoke English, French and Spanish so this was really helpful). They offer simply tasty breakfasts (eggs/yoghurt & fruit/toast). The rooms are clean and quiet. It is located a...

Hostel is cheap! We paid around €12,- for a private double in a building 50m from the main building. This includes breakfast (scrambled eggs or fruit with yoghurt and tea/coffee) which is perfect. Staff is very helpful and friendly! Location is ok. The thing that could improve is toilets and showers. They were old and not clean. There were only...

“I had room number 1 which has a capacity of 3 (one double and one single bed). I think that three of the rooms have en-suites in their rooms and the other three sole use of a shower/toilet but it is next door to the room. As I said I think the accommodation across the road has shred facilities.”

“At least avoid staying in El gite 2. Maybe staying in the main building is better and doesn't give you the 'prison feel expierence' I had. It's probably best to avoid the place at all as there are better options nearer to the city center.”
