Enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Martin. We thought it was in a great location, right on one of the walking street. Walked out into numerous restaurants and shops. It was clean and had helpful staff. If I was to mention a negative it would be our room was freezing (not much to be done about that), the reception does... More

It's a nice environment and deliciously located in downtown with plenty of places where one can have a good meal or just go out for a coffee. By the way, it's one of the cheapest around and I recommend it for couples and groups of young tourists.

It is a fine room given what you pay for. The location is excellent : right on the real de Guadalupe street and right next to the Zocalo, and yet the hotel is still quiet. However the quality of the room is far from excellent and not very new. I guess you get what you pay for...

This hotel is located right on the main walking street of San Cristobal and handy to everything. It is clean and tidy with a pleasant reception and courtyard area. We walked in thinking that it would be well over our backpacker budget and happily surprised to discover it was only 350 pesos (about $25US). We could not find anything else... More

We took a nice hotel for the first night because it was late in the evening. We walked and looked and checked many the next day. Most of them were nice and affordable but none of the others would give us a weekly price break on 2 rooms. It is comfortable, nice hot water anytime, with a nice inner courtyard... More

Staying at this hotel put me in a bad mood every day, starting with when I would walk into my bathroom only to encounter a cold shower. While the Front Desk assured me that "some" rooms have hot water, mine, on the third floor, did not. On a positive note, the area that this hotel is located in is incredible:... More

I came to Hotel San Cristobal needing some peace and quiet but without being cut off, which was exactly what I got here. The best location in the centre of town if you want to wander around night or day. Very good value - 350 Mexican Pesos (about £17) a night for a clean and comfortable room with a large... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our tour. The hotel was clean and reasonably comfortable. The rooms was a little small but the bathroom, including the shower was nice and big. They do provide free wireless and have 2 Internet connected PC's downstairs. The breakfast was ok but with so many cafe's around it was not something... More

This hotel was lovely in the great location on one of the main pedestrian streets. It's in walking distance to everything in San Cristobal (markets, restaurants, museums). Laundry was fast and cheap. Rooms were small but comfortable enough. There is a terrace area which is the best for wifi. Very clean and secure too. Staff speak limited English but were... More

After a trip on an overnight bus, I was looking forward to checking into a comfortable hotel. If you come on a bus or a taxi, you will have to carry your luggage for a block or two as the entrance to the hotel is on a pedestrian only street. We checked in and found the rooms to be quite... More
