We stayed in a 12 person dorm which was about five people over capacity therefore rendering the bathroom inaccessible and the room unbelievably noisy. The security was non-existent as anyone could walk into the hostel and the dorm and the staff didn't really care to help guests. Internet access was good and the courtyard and breakfast were nice.

The hostel's location is very good, very close to the city's main attractions. We chose a private room with own bathroom. The room was very plain (looking like a one in a military), there were only three beds in the apartment and a metal locker with no chain or a key, we were supposed to buy one if we wanted...

I stayed with my boyfriend at the Mezkalito for 3 nights, people were very helpful, the inside gate is always closed which gives a sense of security, the man at the desk was a little slow when you needed something but that is because he's always cleaning too. We spent the first night in a dorm which is small but...

Security at this hostel was very poor. The front gate was left unlocked and anyone from the street could walk into the dorms. There was often nobody at the front desk to provide the 24hour security it claims to offer. Luggage storage, listed as a facility, is not free of charge, and they only told us this when we came...

I stayed here for 5 nights, and have no complaints. Location is great, staff and knowledgeable and friendly, good breakfast (that they leave out past the closing time...for those of us who are stragglers) Very clean and new, at least the girls dorm was.Free internet 24hrs was really great. Good experience!

Service was fine, staff was very helpful and they didn't get sick of us asking stupid questions :) Rooms were fine, we stayed in a dorm, it was ok. The whole hostel was clean. There's a great common place for hanging out and meeting people.

Very bad place to stay. Awful welcome. No one at the reception, we had to wait about 1/2 hour to finally meet someone. Then the staff is not helpful, I even had the impression that they were annoyed to have clients. The dorms are ok, although very simple. It was also hard to get hot water in the shower and...

The hostel has a nice setting and is in a good location. However, I woke up to find that I had been bitten very badly by bed bugs all over my arms, back and front. I went to see the manager and I asked him if he could get me a different bed for the following night. I also said...
