Good food and service at lunch. but the bill was +20% over menu prices. I asked: is it the tip? server casually answered: no, the menu is old and prices have gone up now. certainly put us in an uncomfortable spot, the food was eaten and we didn't have enough spanish to

I didn't stay at the hotel so can't rate that. I went for breakfast on the recommendation of a local friend. I had the Chapuline omelet which was good, but it was by far my worst dining experience in Oaxaca. It takes a lot for me to give a bad review like this. I've been in

It was only a 5 minute walk to the church and nice old streets. There are a lot of restaurants around the place. The hotel was very clean and only has 14 rooms. The wifi was very good. The breakfast was very good with fresh orange juice. Good security with a guard at night.

No elevator but there are rooms on the first floor. My husband would go to the rooftop terrace to smoke. He never smokes in the room just by practice so am not sure that it is a rule. Great central place to stay.

"I didn't stay - only ate in the restaurant"
"I stayed at the room right in front of the check in office. The only mild noise was in the mornings when staff set up tables."
"During the weekends there is music from a bar across the street. Choose a room in the back to reduce the noise of the music."
"All rooms face the garden courtyard. We were on the second floor and loved our room."
"We have stayed on both floors with equal noise levels...can't get away from firecrackers during Semana Santa!!"
